The National Security Council Bill was tabled to the Parliament for the first reading yesterday. The proposed new law intends to seek to create a council which will have the power, amongst others, to declare certain area a “security area” and the council will have wide ranging powers in particular concerning security. 甘榜双溪亚榜巴鲁礼堂完工

于2013年时任副首相丹斯里慕尤丁拨出50万令吉兴建的甘榜双溪亚榜巴鲁礼堂工程,此前面对工程延误的问题,而砂人联党领袖,尤其是朋岭支部青年团秘书符祥威律师与承包商、工程局及古晋省公署交涉下,终于让该礼堂工程得以在11月30完工,并且移交给村民。 过去两年甘榜双溪亚榜巴鲁的基督教村民,在圣诞节时只能租借临近酒店作为庆祝场地,而今年他们总算可以在自家甘榜举办庆祝活动,村民分工合作欢庆佳节,肯定更有气氛。 砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于昨日见证承包商希尼瑟迪尼移交该礼堂给村民代表杰菲里的仪式,在场包括古晋省长伊布拉欣、砂人联党青年团总团长陈开、符祥威及地方上的社区领袖。 沈桂贤向媒体表示,该礼堂耗时两年兴建,让村民苦等多时,随着工程完工,他希望村民可以善用该设施。 另一方面,他指出,此前首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿迪南沙登已经批准人联党的19个选区获得总共2200万令吉的乡村转型计划拨款,作为提升地方上的基建设施用途。 与此同时,符祥威表示,他在10月份发现甘榜双溪亚榜巴鲁礼堂的工程延误,于是在10月29日与承包商及古晋省公署讨论,了解延误的原因。同时,他还在11月11日再度回到礼堂工地查看,并限定承包商必须在11月30日之前完工。 他强调,其做法是,当发现问题时,就着手解决,而非在报章上谩骂与指责。

各界纷纷援助许萱

许萱小妹妹要“有声”世界的新闻见报后,短短6天后便筹得11万6千892令吉,距离筹款目标不远,恢复听力在望! 砂人工耳蜗协会主席拿督陈超耀昨日指出,上述11万令吉的善款包括5万令吉由许家亲戚、朋友所捐献,余下则是来自社会大众。“许萱小妹妹的遭遇见报后,黄慧君(许萱母亲)、砂人联党美里支部及砂人工耳蜗协会便接到许多热心人士的来电,纷纷表示欲捐助许小妹妹。” 他说,大部分捐款者都是来自本市的市民,部分则来自外海,他们是通过网络媒体、面书的知道许小妹妹的遭遇,也通过汇款的方式将款项汇入砂人工耳蜗协会。 他指出,许小妹妹两耳植入人工耳蜗协会的费用高达14万令吉,目前还欠缺2万3千108令吉。他有信心近期内便可以筹取足够的善款。 他称,在砂人工耳蜗协会的安排下,许小妹妹预料将在下个月进行手术,相信她很快便可以恢复听觉,在“有声”世界下生活。 天生没有耳蜗许萱刚满2岁,她是在出生后不久被美里中央医院医生证实有先天听觉障碍,必须施手术植入人工耳蜗,才能与正常人般能听、能讲。 由于人造耳蜗经常高昂,需大约14万令吉,使到其母亲黄慧君在不得已之下,于本月18日向砂人联党美里支部主席兼砂人工耳蜗协会主席拿督陈超耀律师求助,透过他的力量向公众求救。 黄慧君透露,其丈夫(许萱父亲)目前正在澳洲半工半读,尽管省吃省用但每月只剩澳币千余元,而本身则担任德士无线电接听员,但每个月也仅有900令吉收入,只足以负担4个孩子的生活及教育费。 她说,她及丈夫的收入非常有限,实在无能力负担小女儿的庞大医药费,所以需要希望社会人士的帮忙。 陈超耀吁请有欲捐款的公众,可将款项汇入砂人工耳蜗协会(Sarawak Cochlear Implant Society)在大众银行(Public Bank)户口,或移步砂人联党美里支部与方秋琴联络,电话为085-423399。

处理石角组屋问题

人联党公共投诉局主任叶耀星日前接获来自石角RPR Taman Cahaya Moyan 第2,第7及第9栋组屋的居民投诉有关组屋化粪池满溢的问题。 收到投诉后,叶耀星偕同一名巴达旺市议会官员前往现场实地检查以寻求解决方案。经过初步评估及市议会的记录,官员根据以往的经验认为化粪池不可能满了,因为距离上一次的清理工作才一年之久。 经聆听居民们的担忧及对该情形作了个初步评估后,人联公共投诉局主任叶耀星代表石角RPR Taman Cahaya Moyan 受影响的居民请求巴达旺市议会即可采取行动。 在抽取化粪池的过程当中发现在主化粪池管道的出口被拖鞋,鞋子及其他垃圾堵塞。人联公共投诉局主任叶耀星劝导居民们不要把垃圾丢进主化粪池的管道以防止阻塞问题。 另外也发现位于第五栋组屋的化粪池由于土壤下沉而导致损坏。人联公共投诉局主任叶耀星要求巴达旺市议会官员致函砂拉越房屋开发公司告知相关情形及要求它们修理损坏的化粪池。 人联公共投诉局已做好准备并尝试通过相关部门解决影响社区的公共议题。同时为面对相关问题却不懂得如何处理的民众伸出援手。任何相关事宜可联系人联党公共投诉局(016-7797688或082246999)或亲临人联党总部。

砂拉越人民联合党中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师认为,联邦政府不应阻碍砂拉越政府落实有助于推动砂人民朝向世界级水准的决策。 他对于联邦政府社会与文化事务顾问丹斯里莱士雅丁日前以维护东西马团结为由,希望砂州政府重新检讨英文为官方语言的决定,感到失望和惊讶。 莱士雅丁声称,砂州政府此举恐将分离东西马人民,影响团结气氛。 陈超耀今日透过文告表示,自从首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿德南沙登上任以来,他对于人民的各项决策,都是带来更好的影响,绝对不会是为了分离人民,或影响团结。 他说,莱士雅丁的言论是令人失望的,漠视砂拉越人追求进步的愿望,在无疆界的时代,掌握更多语文是在世界立足的重要基础。况且,首长从来不曾表明马来文不重要,而是强调英文和马来文并重的重要。 他表示,英文一直以来都被政府机构和私人界广泛使用,而首长宣布英文为官方语文,是为了加强英文的使用,让砂州人民更加重视英文。 “莱士雅丁本身是个执业律师,而且还曾经担任外交部长,理应懂得英文的重要性。” 他强调,砂拉越具有独特的历史与文化背景,与西马不尽相同,因为,若砂拉越政府重视英文,并非是一项课题。而且,相信全体砂拉越人都会认同首长重视英文的决策,这对于未来下一代具有好处。 因此,他呼吁砂拉越人成为首长的后盾,支持其政策与理念,为更好的未来而努力。

Former Seduan YB Datuk Ting Ing Mieng passes on

Former Seduan assemblyman Datuk Ting Ing Mieng passed away at the age of 86 around 1pm yesterday at Kota Samarahan Heart Centre. Ting was one of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) leaders who contested under the Barisan Nasional (BN) banner in the then Seduan state constituency in 1983, 1987 and 1991 polls. 党元老丁永勉逝世

砂人联党元老拿督丁永勉于11月19日在辉盛花园住家与世长辞,享年86岁。 已故丁永勉出生于诗巫,曾经担任诗巫西端区(已易名为巴旺阿山选区)州议员长达20年。此外,其曾经担任的职位还包括诗巫市议会主席及人联党诗巫支部名誉主席。 据其家属表示,已故丁永勉长年面对心脏问题困扰,之前曾经在三马拉汉心脏专科医院接受治疗。 另外,噩耗传出后,砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员深表惋惜。 他表示,砂人联党失去了一名伟大的领袖,尽管晚年年纪老迈,但已故丁永勉还是热衷于出席人联党活动,包括人联党的农历新年开放门户。 他衷心感谢已故丁永勉对于砂拉越及人联党的贡献。 他也对于其家属致予深切慰问。
