Kho Teck Wan Urges Federal Government Not To Change Policies At Last Minute
As Malaysia braces for the implementation of the expanded Sales and Service Tax (SST) and mandatory e-invoicing for businesses with an annual turnover between RM5 million and RM25 million starting July 1, concerns have been raised over the last-minute changes in federal policy. Political Secretary to the Premier of Sarawak, Kho Teck Wan, expressed her mixed reaction to the upcoming changes, particularly in relation to the exemption from mandatory e-invoicing for businesses earning below RM500,000 annually. While she welcomed the exemption, Kho noted that the timing of the announcement hadRead More
DAP’s Endless Excuses Show They Have Run Out of Ideas and Credibility
Kota Sentosa State Assemblyman, Wilfred Yap said it is becoming painfully clear that DAP prefers issuing press statements over taking responsibility. He noticed that the recent fiasco over matriculation entry for SPM students with A– grades is just the latest example of their half-hearted and reactive approach to governance, despite holding an unprecedented number of positions in the Federal Government. “DAP has five Cabinet Ministers, six Deputy Ministers including the Deputy Minister of Education and over forty Members of Parliament. Yet it took massive public outcry, sustained criticism, and aRead More

Alan Bong Says Automatic matriculation policy must reflect true merit, not technical exclusions
SUPP Kuching Branch Youth Deputy Secretary Alan Bong Kit Khoon has voiced concern over the inconsistency between the Federal Government’s initial promise and the actual implementation of the automatic matriculation admission policy for SPM candidates. Bong pointed out that when the Prime Minister first announced the policy last year, it was stated that students who obtained 10As, regardless of race, would be automatically admitted. However, no clarification was made at the time that A- grades would be excluded. The Ministry of Education has since limited automatic admission only to studentsRead More

Kota Sentosa State Assemblyman, Wilfred Yap Complains DAP’s Views Are Misguided and Misleading
Chong Chieng Jen’s repeated criticisms of the Sarawak Government are not only baseless but a clear demonstration of DAP’s short-sighted and politically motivated rhetoric, said Sentosa State Assemblyman, Wilfred Yap. Yap pointed out that Chong’s latest remarks against the Sarawak’s investment in major infrastructure projects again reveal a fundamental misunderstanding or intentional misrepresentation of what sustainable, long-term development means for Sarawak and its people.
