砂拉越旅游部副部长拿督陈超耀表示，他已拨款15万令吉予美里警方，以协助维修美里中央警局急需进行维修的基本设施。 他是在美里公共工程局一行官员陪同下前往巡视美里中央警局建筑物，并获得美里中央警局局长尼逊等人的热烈欢迎及进行了一场深入的交流会。 拿督陈超耀表示，他是通过2023年乡村转型计划拨款获得批准后拨款15万令吉。目前正在进行招标工作，一旦完成招标便可以展开工程，针对急需优先进行的工程进行维修。 他在与警方及工程局官员进行交涉后指出，将会预先进行维修的工程项目主要是在美里中央警局扣留室，包括灯饰、铁闸门锁、扣留室厕所、修复地板、警局厕所等。他强调了这些工程的重要性，并表示将会优先处理。

Lo Khere Chiang giving away UNIFOR grant of RM 90,000 to Jesus Christ House of Prayer
State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang presented a cheque of RM90,000 from UNIFOR to Jesus Christ House of Prayer. The hand over was held at the church in Batu Kitang to help cover the cost of purchasing a set of music equipment, PA system and minor maintenance for the church. 俞小珊：冻结独中国际生申请不合理
针对教育部和移民局冻结独中的国际学生申请，砂拉越人联党埔奕支部主席兼埔奕立法议员俞小珊发文告表示，这是在开倒车及不合理的举动，教育部必须马上进行解决。 他说，正当马来西亚旅游部和砂拉越政府正在积极推动第二大马家园计划，教育部却做出如此的决定实在令人不解，而当局给出的理由却是这基于还检讨私立教育的运营政策。 林慧英难辞其咎 俞小珊表示，既然还在检讨中，何须如此急切地冻结国际学生申请？教育部完全可以在边检讨的情况下继续开放申请，等待检讨的政策完成后，再针对不足之处做出修改即可。 另外，根据教育部的文告指出，教育部不曾冻结华文独中的国际学生申请。既然如此，为何会有教育部及移民局官员告知政府已经冻结了独中招收国际学生申请？ 俞小珊说，这已经不是首次，部长、副部长、教育部和官员口径不一致的“罗生门”事件，之前40段圣训一事上也是如此，而来自行动党的教育部副部长林慧英难辞其咎。 他说，行动党过去在野时期以捍卫华教为己任，频频抨击政府对华教不公平，以此来获得选民支持。如今行动党已入朝和持有副教育部长一职，表现却不尽如人意，而行动党40个国会议员显然辜负华社的支持。 他续指出，马来西亚作为中国海外最为完善的华文独中教育，水准一直都被世界各地认可，也是推动第二家园计划的一大卖点。华文独中和国际学校，一般是投资经商的外籍人士，以第二家园计划下，为孩子申请入学的学校，这有助于推动国家经济发展和文化推广。 俞小珊表示，董总和教总在过去几个月，尝试通过内部管道协调却频繁碰壁，这显示教育部并没有诚意面对问题，或者教育部存在内部沟通问题，这便是管理不当，教育部必须正视。 他称，相较西马，砂拉越政府已承认独中统考文凭，并坚持协助华教发展，每年定期拨款给独中教育经费，可是，如今联邦政府却连华小拨款都没办法公布；为此，砂拉越政府必须加快争取和落实教育自主权。

State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang went to see for himself the upgrading work at Dewan Kpg Paya Mebi (off Jalan Landeh). The implementation of the project by JKR was under Rural Transformation program. Lo said the job scope included installing toilets, a store room, 3 phase power supply, window grills, relocation of SEB high extension pole and cables. SUPP Youth section from Kuching Branch led by its chairman, Eric Tay gave away boxes of vegetarian food to the public. Tay said the event officially started at 11:30 this morning where a large number of people were already waiting in line since 10 o’clock. Within three minutes, all 100 boxes were distributed. He said the charity drive was held in the eighth month of the lunar calendar which is also an auspicious month for the Chinese because the Mid-Autumn Festival is also celebrated in this month.
