SUPP Kuching youth shares Mid-Autumn Festival joy
Around 2,000 Mid-Autumn Mooncakes were distributed to the Bidana Food Market, Bidana Hawker Centre, Balik Bank, Song Kheng Hai Hawker Centre, open-air market and Tower Market / Tower Hawker Centre, businessmen, vendors and people, said SUPP Kuching youth chairman, Eric Tay.
Thanking the community leaders and teams for their tenacious support and selfless efforts, Tay said it is because of them that they were able to successfully host this unforgettable Mid-Autumn Mooncake delivery event.
“The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the important traditional Chinese festivals and a time for family reunion. However, in the fast-paced modern life, sometimes we ignore the vendors and merchants around us. They are part of the community and contribute to the prosperity of the community. Therefore, we decided to extend a friendly hand to them on this special festival and send them the warmth and blessings of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Of course, our activities are not limited to vendors and merchants, we also want to share this warmth with more people. Everyone has their own life story, everyone has their own difficulties and challenges. We hope that by sending mooncakes, we will not only provide them with a delicious gift, but also convey a sense of care and concern. We hope that everyone can be healthy and happy, have everything go smoothly, and enjoy the beauty of life, “he said.
Tay added that the Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional time for family gatherings, but it should also be a time for community reunions. Through this event, he said, we bring the community closer together and make everyone feel the warmth and care. Just like the full moon of the Mid-Autumn Festival, we hope that our community can also unite and share the good things.
He hoped everyone can reunite with family and friends during this wonderful holiday and share happiness and joy together.
