陈超耀呼吁各界踊跃捐助女童包依玟
年仅1岁10个月的女童包依玟因先天双侧耳蜗缺失,导致完全失聪,必须接受高难度的听觉脑干植入手术才能重拾听觉。然而,高昂的医疗费用让其家庭陷入困境。 砂旅游部副部长兼美里人工耳蜗协会主席拿督陈超耀呼吁社会各界踊跃捐助,协助填补仍短缺的9万5000令吉手术与植入装置的费用。 陈超耀在砂人联党卑尔骚支部召开新闻发布会。他说,包依玟来自砂拉越尼亚石山,今年7月在美里医院接受检查时发现无法发声,进一步确诊为先天性耳蜗结构缺陷,导致完全失聪。 他说,这名女童连自己的哭声和笑声都听不见,唯有尽早接受听觉脑干植入手术,才有机会听见声音,迈向正常学习与语言发展的可能。 这项手术预计于8月16日在古晋婆罗洲医药中心进行,由耳鼻喉科与神经外科专家联合主刀。整项手术及植入装置费用总计14万5000令吉,其中植入装置需9万5000令吉,手术费介于3万5000至5万令吉之间。家属目前仅能自筹1万2000令吉,并获得人力资源单位资助5万令吉,尚有9万5000令吉缺口亟待社会协助填补。 陈超耀说,尽管这类手术在马来西亚属罕见,但国际医疗数据显示,成功个案中有高达79%至93.3%的患者能辨识环境声音与语音感知能力,部分甚至能发展出基本语言能力。 他表示,患童父母包克全与黄秀晶皆为教师,家庭收入有限,加上需照顾另一个年幼孩子,面对高昂医疗费压力沉重。美里人工耳蜗协会决定协助推动筹款工作,并承诺所有善款将透明管理,详细记录和公开用途,确保善款真正用于患者。 “这不仅是一笔医疗费,更是一份改变命运的希望。我们恳请各界善心人士在这倒数的18天内伸出援手,助她重返声音的世界。” 此外,曾于去年杪在该会协助下完成人工耳蜗植入手术的1岁7个月女童毛柠萱,也在父母陪同下出席新闻发布会。她术后恢复情况良好,为同样面对听力障碍的家庭带来鼓舞与信心。 公众若有意捐助或了解详情,可联络美里人工耳蜗协会或相关协调单位。
陈开:10哩持续经历商业扩张
巴达旺市议会主席陈开表示,在10哩地区新发展项目和商业活动的推动下, 经济活动持续呈现增长态势,与行动党社青团团长苏天仁所指称的“经济萎靡”的说法并不相符。 陈开主席指出,该地区近年来持续经历商业扩张,多个新店屋项目已完工并被零售连锁品牌如 Mr DIY 和汉利百货进驻承租。 “我们看到越来越多零售、餐饮以及服务类企 业在十哩设立。商业执照申请维持稳定,显示投资者对该地区仍具信心。” 陈开进一步表示,根据他与当地商家互动中获得的反馈,当前商家面临的挑战主要源自国家层面的政策,尤其是销售与服务税(SST)范围的扩大实施。 “我在走访基层并与商家及社区团体交流时,许多人表达对 SST 覆盖范围扩大感到担 忧,因为这已对小型企业、非政府组织(NGO)甚至学校建设项目带来了额外的财务 压力,” 他补充道,根据修订后的 SST 范围,像是殡葬服务、非政府组织所收到的捐款、以及 与教育有关的建设项目皆需纳税,这无疑提高了营运成本,压缩了基层组织及创业者 的利润。 这些反馈是在他上周出席数项社区活动期间收集到的。 与其将责任完全归咎于地方政府,陈开主席呼吁实旦宾区国会议员张健仁在即将召开 的国会会议中提出此事。 “如果本区国会议员真心希望推动十哩的经济复苏与商业振 兴,我挑战他把这项课题带上国会,并争取对有关领域的 SST 实施进行检讨或暂缓执 行,” 他也强调,巴达旺市议会将持续通过推动基础设施提升、简化商业执照申请流程,以 及举办各类社区活动,以刺激整个巴达旺地区的经济活力。
