Datuk Sebastian Ting visits art exhibition at Plaza Merdeka

Kuching Surimas Fans of Art,Dance and Music Association with Plaza Merdeka Mall Mid-Autumn Festival to promote tradition ,culture ,and arts activities of the Mid-Autumn Festival together with Kuching Association of Talent Development and Welfare of Special Needs(Katsn) from 22th Sept till 1st Oct with Gifted Art Exhibition, performance and various competitions such as Lantern, mooncake making , singing , coloring and Cheongsam competitions.

Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, Deputy Minister Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts visited the Gifted Art Gallery by 13 special children and young adults showing their talents in paintings.

Ting was impressed by the beautiful works of art on display and understand the struggle and challenges these children will have to go throughout their lives and gave words of encouragement to Katsn to keep up the good works and their excellent new programs such as basket weaving, baking and Bocce for these special children and young adults.

He also encouraged the public to visit the exhibition and feast their eyes on the exquisite paintings and to support the Association by buying the paintings or the many beautiful merchandise.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is held at Plaza Merdeka till 1st of October with various activities and competitions to bring social interaction to foster unity in diversity.
