Enough money for Athena Kho cochlear implant
SUPP Secretary General, Dato’ Sebastian Ting thanked the generous people for their kind gesture in helping a toddler, Athena Kho so that she could go for the cochlear implant which cost RM140,000.
Ting said the public do not have to send any more money as they have exceed the collection of RM6,320.44.
“As at 25th November 2015, we are pleased to report to our generous friends and members of the public that the amounts collected in aid of Miss Athena’s cochlear implants are as follows:From family, relatives and friends RM50, 000, cash, cheques which were directly banked into Sarawak Cochlear Implant Society RM86, 320.44 and there was a Pledge of RM 10,000. Total collected is RM146,320.44
“In view of the above, there is no need to send or bank in any more cash. On behalf of Madam Jenny and his family, we sincerely thank you all for your warm, care and generosity. You all are Superb and Wonderful. We hope Athena can be operated in December 2015, earlier than originally planned.The Committee Members of our Society would again like to thank you all for your trust and confidence on us and our new Society.We are very thankful to all of you. We are indeed very touched and humbled by your care, warmness, generosity and love for Athena,” he said.
