处理石角组屋问题
人联党公共投诉局主任叶耀星日前接获来自石角RPR Taman Cahaya Moyan 第2，第7及第9栋组屋的居民投诉有关组屋化粪池满溢的问题。 收到投诉后，叶耀星偕同一名巴达旺市议会官员前往现场实地检查以寻求解决方案。经过初步评估及市议会的记录，官员根据以往的经验认为化粪池不可能满了，因为距离上一次的清理工作才一年之久。 经聆听居民们的担忧及对该情形作了个初步评估后，人联公共投诉局主任叶耀星代表石角RPR Taman Cahaya Moyan 受影响的居民请求巴达旺市议会即可采取行动。 在抽取化粪池的过程当中发现在主化粪池管道的出口被拖鞋，鞋子及其他垃圾堵塞。人联公共投诉局主任叶耀星劝导居民们不要把垃圾丢进主化粪池的管道以防止阻塞问题。 另外也发现位于第五栋组屋的化粪池由于土壤下沉而导致损坏。人联公共投诉局主任叶耀星要求巴达旺市议会官员致函砂拉越房屋开发公司告知相关情形及要求它们修理损坏的化粪池。 人联公共投诉局已做好准备并尝试通过相关部门解决影响社区的公共议题。同时为面对相关问题却不懂得如何处理的民众伸出援手。任何相关事宜可联系人联党公共投诉局（016-7797688或082246999）或亲临人联党总部。

陈超耀：联邦不应阻碍砂注重英文
砂拉越人民联合党中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师认为，联邦政府不应阻碍砂拉越政府落实有助于推动砂人民朝向世界级水准的决策。 他对于联邦政府社会与文化事务顾问丹斯里莱士雅丁日前以维护东西马团结为由，希望砂州政府重新检讨英文为官方语言的决定，感到失望和惊讶。 莱士雅丁声称，砂州政府此举恐将分离东西马人民，影响团结气氛。 陈超耀今日透过文告表示，自从首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿德南沙登上任以来，他对于人民的各项决策，都是带来更好的影响，绝对不会是为了分离人民，或影响团结。 他说，莱士雅丁的言论是令人失望的，漠视砂拉越人追求进步的愿望，在无疆界的时代，掌握更多语文是在世界立足的重要基础。况且，首长从来不曾表明马来文不重要，而是强调英文和马来文并重的重要。 他表示，英文一直以来都被政府机构和私人界广泛使用，而首长宣布英文为官方语文，是为了加强英文的使用，让砂州人民更加重视英文。 “莱士雅丁本身是个执业律师，而且还曾经担任外交部长，理应懂得英文的重要性。” 他强调，砂拉越具有独特的历史与文化背景，与西马不尽相同，因为，若砂拉越政府重视英文，并非是一项课题。而且，相信全体砂拉越人都会认同首长重视英文的决策，这对于未来下一代具有好处。 因此，他呼吁砂拉越人成为首长的后盾，支持其政策与理念，为更好的未来而努力。
