Fund for cochlear implant girl, Athena Kho
SUPP Secretary general, Dato’ Sebastian Ting expressed his gratitude to the Miriams and the people at large for giving generously to help fund Athena Kho’s cochlear Implant.
He said as at 24th November 2015, we are pleased to inform our generous friends and members of the public thajt the amounts collected in aid of Miss Athena’s cochlear implants are as follows:
1.. From family, relatives and friends RM50, 000..
2. Collected cash, cheques, direct bank into Sarawak Cochlear Implant Society
RM66, 892.
Total as at 24th November 2015 is RM 116, 892

+RM 66,892 )
The cost of Cochlear Implant is RM140 000.
So amount short is RM23, 108..
Donations continue to come in, some from overseas because of alternate media. FB, weChat.. Majority of the money comes from Miri public.
On behalf of Madam Jenny and his family we wish to thank you all for your warm, care and generosity. You all are Wonderful.
With the above amount in hand , we are looking into the possibility of moving the implant operation forward to next month, December 2015.
The Committee Members of our Society would also like to thank you all for your trust on us and our new Society.
