砂拉越人民联合党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于日前拜访党名誉主席拿督巴丁宜丹斯里黄顺开。 黄顺开亦是砂人联党前主席。 沈桂贤是于本月13日与秘书长拿督陈超耀律师、副主席兼史纳汀区州议员拿督李景胜助理部长及副主席兼成邦江区州议员拿督法兰西哈登助理部长一同前往拜访黄顺开。 众人在交流中，感激黄顺开对于党的贡献。
陈超耀：巫统不能走后门进入砂州
砂拉越人民联合党中央秘书长拿督陈超耀律师强调，砂州是个政治稳定的州属，无需巫统进入。 他是针对柔佛州务大臣兼该州巫统主席拿督斯里莫哈末卡立日前建议设立旅居柔佛的砂州人巫统区部一事，发表评论。 莫哈末卡立日前说，设立该区部的目的是为了鼓励在柔佛旅居的砂州人参与政治，并确保他们的福利与需求获得妥善照顾。目前，约有3万至4万名砂州人在柔佛州生活与工作。 陈超耀表示，首相拿督斯里纳吉及副首相丹斯里慕尤丁已经多次公开说明，巫统不会进入砂州。而且首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿迪南沙登也很明确阐明：他绝对不会让巫统进入。 “阿迪南说，在砂州已经有个‘巫统’，那就是砂土保党，一个属于砂州的本土政党。” 他说，他绝对同意砂人民党主席丹斯里詹玛欣博士的言论，指柔佛州的砂州人，可以透过几个途径维护他们的福利，包括自行设立俱乐部，确保有个平台解决所面对的问题。 因此，陈超耀强调，设立砂州人巫统区部并非是迫切需要的，而他也坚决反对任何可能存在的“巫统以‘走后门’的方式进入砂州”的举动，因这将会破坏国阵的和谐与团结。 他认为，仍有许多砂州人希望在州选时，回到家乡投票。更何况，砂州政府也可考虑在柔佛设立砂州通讯处，方便砂州人处理事务。

More specialist hospitals
Sarawak is in need of more public specialist hospitals so that patients need not travel great distance to look for health care, said President of SUPP Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian. 党对于诗巫新社区领袖委任感失望
砂拉越人民联合党对诗巫3名新社区领袖的委任感到失望与愤怒。 诗巫省公署在4月30日宣布委任3名新本固鲁的做法，完全是违反砂首长兼州国阵主席丹斯里阿德南早前宣布冻结所有社区领袖的委任之指示。 人联党中央常务委员会过去与首长进行的对话会上，也提到过去一些不合理的委任，因此人联党将会尽快征求首长的解释。 人联党了解诗巫党员对有关的委任感到愤怒，也了解他们的不满情绪。 然而，人联党呼吁诗巫的党员保持冷静与团结，只有团结才能克服和战胜一切阻力。
陈超耀欢迎首长利民宣布
砂拉越人民联合党中央秘书长拿督陈超耀欢迎和支持砂首长丹斯里阿德南公布降低工商业用电和取消诗巫阿山港大桥过来费等多项利民政策。 陈超耀认为，这些利民政策的落实，可以减轻人民经济负担、刺激社会与经济活动，对砂州发展有巨大帮助。 阿德南日前下午在州议会会议总结时宣布，砂州的工商业用电将在今年6月1日调低，而诗巫阿山港大桥也将在5月25日开始废除收费制，伊干大桥也不会收费。 陈超耀表示，从首长落实这些利民政策显示他是了解人民心声、认真听取民意的领袖。 阿德南已在上一次州议会会议上宣布降低住家用电，之后曾表示也会对工商电及大桥过路费等问题做出探讨，而他正式公布最新结果，并履行承诺做出调低和取消措施。 陈超耀赞扬阿德南是位遵守承诺的好领袖，人民应该继续支持他领导，给他更多时间落实其他还在进行中的事项，包括争取提高石油开采税及承认独中统考文凭。 人联党深信，未来阿德南还会陆续公布其他利民政策，同时也提醒行动党不要对首长今天公布的利民政策邀功。
