SUPP PCB helping out in child adoption

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau was recently approached by two couples from Serian and Batu Kawa area for assistance. Both couples were facing the same problem in applying for a Certificate of Adoption and Identity Card for the child under their care since birth. The child under care of the couple from Serian is ten years old while the child under the care of the couple from Batu Kawa is already 13 years old.

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau Chief, Wilfred Yap have now successfully assisted both the couples in applying to the High Court for an Order that they be made as legal guardians of the child under their care since birth.

With the High Court Order of appointment as guardian, both couple can now proceed to apply to the District Office for the legal adoption of the child under their care. After the District Office approves their application, the couples can then proceed to Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara to apply for an identity card for the child.
