Fire at Regency Park
Dato Sebastian Ting helped alert the Fire brigade at 6pm in Pujut 2B Regency Park yesterday. Residents noticed some fire had started in the bushes and informed Cr. Karambir who called Ting. The fire brigade team rushed to the scene to put out the fire. According to the Team Leader Narain Singh this was the 5th fire yesterday Ting requested everyone to be careful as the the weather is hot and dry and some areas are prone to bush fires.
人联党严厉谴责攻击黄振渊事件
砂拉越人民联合党中央秘书长兼卑尔骚区州议员拿督陈超耀律师形容，该党都东支部署理主席黄振渊被泼硫酸的事件，是属于恶意攻击的行为。 现年58岁的黄振渊于昨日中午12时15分左右，在诗巫奥斯曼路一家书店前，被两名男子呼唤，当他转身时，其中一名男子将硫酸泼向其脸部，导致灼伤。当时，黄振渊第一时间奔向书店的厕所，用清水冲洗脸上的硫酸，并在之后前往医院求治。 陈超耀表示，砂拉越人民联合党将此事件交给警方调查，希望罪犯可以绳之以法，接受法律制裁。 他不愿对黄振渊受袭击的事件多加评论，包括后者受袭击的原因，是与其政治背景，或是会计师工作有关。 不管怎样，他强调任何事都不应以暴力解决，而是通过协商来解决。 他表示，在这起事件上，砂拉越人民联合党严厉谴责类似的暴力攻击行为。
罗克强向残障者伸出援手
砂人联党巴都吉当区州议员兼巴达旺市议会主席罗克强于今日向一名女性残障者伸出援助，安排社会福利局官员前往其住家访问。 罗克强是在巴达旺市议员郑莉薲和两名社会福利局官员的陪同下，前往造访名为Jap Jin Moi的女性残障者。其住家是位于大圣爷路。 Jap Jin Moi目前与双亲一起同住，其父亲是现年72岁的Jap Kiun Sin，尽管年纪老迈，但还在工作，赚取微薄的薪水。而Jap Jin Moi的母亲是现年71岁的Chai Chin Fah，患有精神疾病。 目前44岁的Jap Jin Moi因为脑部的问题，不时面对癫痫的状况，她需要经常前往医院治疗，一个月内至少4次。这对于她们一家人是一个沉重负担。 罗克强等人协助Jap Jin Moi和其母亲申请社会福利局的援助。同时，社会福利局官员也移交一些食粮给她们一家。 此外，罗克强也会联络古晋希望之家创办人阮冠伟，希望后者向Jap Jin Moi一家提供帮助。 他呼吁民众踊跃捐献物资予古晋希望之家，以让该组织可以帮助更多人。

Reappointment as Senator
SUPP President , Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian, Datuk Dr Asyraf Dusuki, Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister department, Labuan Umno deputy division chief Datuk Bashir Alias and Segamat Umno division leader Zahari Sarip were sworn in as senators in the Dewan Negara yesterday. They took their oath of office before Dewan Negara president Datuk S A Vigneswaran. Their appointment is for three years.
协助民众向旅行社索取退款
砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局主任叶耀星日前接获30位民众要求协助向一间本地旅行社索取退款。事主们已全额付清原本定于2017年4月出发的团费。该团一再改期引起事主们感到担忧所以他们要求退款。 收到请求协助后，砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局主任叶耀星偕同该团代表们前往该旅行社了解实际情况。会谈当中，该旅行社负责人告知叶耀星因为国外旅行团业者临时取消才导致该团无法如期出发。另外，他也正着手处理向国外旅行团业者办理退款事宜并答应团员们将于6月中获得全额退还。 砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局会继续跟进有关退款事宜以确保民众的利益得到保障。 人联公共投诉局已做好准备并尝试通过相关部门解决影响社区的公共议题。人联党公共投诉局已准备好为面对相关问题却不懂得如何处理的民众伸出援手。任何相关事宜可联系人联党公共投诉（016-7797688或082246999）或亲临人联党总部。
Complaining on cancellation of tour

砂人联党巴都吉当区州议员罗克强于今日巡视选区上的道路提升工程，包括朋尼逊花园、Countrywood花园和Bavhivana 路。 这些道路提升工程是使用其乡区转型计划的拨款，分别为朋尼逊花园花费7万8171令吉、Countrywood花园12万3581令吉和Bavhivana路20万令吉。所有工程都已经完成。 除了上述工程之外，其选区其他地区的道路提升工程也正在进行中。
Site Visits to repaired and upgraded roads
State Assemblyman for Batu kitang, Lo khere chiang paid a site visit to a number of Completed, Repaired and upgraded roads yesterday. These included areas in Taman Penrissen, Taman Countrywood and Jalan Bavhivana. Using YB’s RTP 2017 funds, work to repair and upgrade the roads at Taman Penrissen (Rm78,171), Taman Countrywood (Rm123,581) and Jalan Bavhivana (Rm200,000) have been completed. The work was completed within the timeframe given. Besides that, many repair and improvement projects are in the pipeline for the constituency.

Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Simanggang branch chairman Datuk Francis Harden Hollis wants party members to stand behind the party to ensure it remains strong together with other Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties.
