Free vaccination for dogs in Miri
A total of 192 dogs were vaccinated today in three different locations in Miri to combat rabies on Sunday. There were 46 dogs vaccinated at the Indoor Stadium, Dwan SUPP, Tukau, 77 dogs and 69 dogs at Dewan SJK (c) Chung Hua, Baram. The free vaccination was to overcome rabies of which four areas in Miri are rabies affected. Piasau State Assemblyman, Datuk Sebastian Ting was at the centre to oversee the vaccination.

程明智：新税务对市场带来巨大影响
砂人联党青年团总团长程明智促请国内贸易及消费事务部副部长兼砂希盟主席张健仁应代表砂拉越人民在联邦政府发出心声，而不是一昧为西马人说话，似乎忘了自己是砂拉越人。 他指出，在全民关注的物价课题上，人联青展开市场调查，尤其是销售与服务税方面，发现这个税务不仅致使百物涨价，更严重的是，商家在价格上稍作调整时，更会受到贸消部以反暴利法对付，让商家感叹生意难做。 程明智指出，人联青展开调查的目的，是为了了解新税务是否对市场构成影响。他们没想到，百物涨价不仅是铁一般的事实，有些商家更向他们反映说在他们跟随着货物成本涨价而被迫稍微调高价钱后，很多商家都不时会面对贸消部官员的质问为何调涨价钱，甚至要求商家们拿一些文件到贸消部，让商家有种被刁难的感觉。 他说，贸消部似乎不懂当中有约90%的商家根本不懂如何分辨暴涨的利润和合理的价钱，因为并没有一个明确的指南。故此，他认为贸消部理应与商家交流或安排相关工作坊，让他们真正了解怎样的一个范围才算是合理的标准。 另一方面，程明智指出，希盟政府已宣布全国统一的1100令吉的最低薪金制将于明年1月1日开跑，这对于东马原本只有920令吉的最低薪金制，忽然调升如此幅度，他质问此举是否要强迫一些商家面对休业风险。 程明智解释说，砂拉越的经济水平与西马半岛根本无法比，尤其是乡区一些地方，如强硬执行此项最低薪金制，这些商家根本无路可走，何况在不久前宣布的2019年财政预算案中，希盟政府根本没有提到任何援助这些商家的政策，令人讽刺的是人民生活过得很苦，政府理应作为他们的后盾，但没想到的是现在政府既然反而成为他们的“问题”，成了他们的负担。 鉴于此，在最低薪金制方面，他也建议政府可以考虑将城市水平分成三线，如第一、第二及第三线，就如砂拉越政府一样，将古晋和美里列为第一线，而诗巫、民都鲁及泗理街列为第二线，加拿逸及加帛等列为第三线的类似做法，这样经济活动才能更趋向健康。

Free Rabies vaccination programme in Miri
Those who missed out getting their dogs’ vaccinated can do so this November 18 (Sunday) from 9 am to 4 pm for free vaccination. The venue will be at Dewan SUPP, Tukau (next to SJK Tukau), Dewan SJK (C) Chung Hua Bakam, Stadium Tertutup Miri (tempat letak kenderaan). The dog owner has to bring along his identity card for registration. So far, a total of 11,308 dogs have been vaccinated in Miri.

石油产品销售税不会增加砂人民负担
砂首席部长拿督巴丁宜阿邦佐哈里保证，砂政府明年1月1日实施的石油产品销售税不会增加砂人民的负担。 他指出，所有在砂拉越境内销售的石油产品都会豁免5%销售税。 他今日在砂议会进行总结时强调，砂政府征收石油产品5%销售税，是根据联邦宪法第10条文第5部分第7项所赋予的权力，因此，这项销售税是合法的。 阿邦佐哈里表示，在众多可被征收税务的石油产品当中，首先是征收从砂出口的原油。他指出，砂原石油是高级的石油，将作为出口用途，以便获取更高的售价。 对于第二大可征收税务产品是天然气，主要是销售到液化天然气厂，以便加工。至于其他类别的产品，包括液化天然气，化学肥料及气化转液化产品如土油、腊等产品主要都作为出口用途。 他强调，对于石油产品征收销售税的机制是进过仔细研究及分析后而推出，因此他保证有关税务机制将不会对人民造成生活负担。 至于商业界，有关税务也同样不会对砂拉越的商业造成影响，这有别于希盟议员所做出的看法。 他举例，当销售税征收在原棕油上及原棕核油身上，其实并不会导致对家用食油的价格上涨。至于石油与天然气相关领域业者，这项征收销售税是砂拉越的权利，应当被认同。 对于5%销售税是否会对国油的价格造成影响，引起许多人关注，他强调联邦政府有权对国油及其他石油公司的收入所征收的石油所得税做出检讨。 他强调，砂落实征收5%石油产品销售税的机制，是与联邦政府落实销售与服务税（SST）机制一样的，都符合联邦宪法。
阿邦佐哈里：联邦政府财政预算案让人失望
砂首长拿督巴丁宜阿邦佐哈里指出，过去53年来，从1966年的第一大马计划之2018年，联邦政府拨给砂拉越的发展拨款是790亿令吉，只占整个国家发展拨款的7.3%。 同个时期，砂政府的发展开销为800亿令吉。 阿邦佐哈里今日在砂议会进行部门总结时说，联邦政府2019年财政预算案拨给砂拉越43亿5000万令吉，仅比之前拨款增加少许。基于这是希望联盟执政的首个财政预算案，这无疑是让人失望的。 他表示，砂希盟领袖在联邦财政预算案尚未公布之前，指砂拉越及沙巴的发展拨款应从总发展开销的25%增加至30%。实际上，砂拉越在联邦政府明年财政预算案所获得的拨款，只是区区7.9%。 他批评砂希盟领袖信口开河，误导砂人民的做法，他们应感到羞愧。 阿邦佐哈里说，联邦政府也取消许多砂拉越联邦工程，这显示砂希盟领袖实实在在地欺骗砂人民，在联邦政府没有任何地位。这也是为何砂人民应该支持本土政党，而非来自西马的政党，因为惟有本土政党才能捍卫砂人民权益。 他强调，砂人民必须捍卫自己的权益，让下一代子孙拥有更好的生活。惟有砂拉越人，才能决定自己的命运。惟有砂拉越人，才能照顾砂拉越。 他表示，在议会首天，他公布91亿令吉发展拨款，正是为了砂人民未来着想。 “我们是时候认真发展基础设施，刺激经济，吸引外资，让砂人民享有更好的生活。”
