砂拉越人民联合党青年团秘书长符祥威律师表示，他全力支持砂首长拿督巴丁宜阿邦佐哈里重新启动古晋第一期轻快铁计划，以作为替代公共交通系统，舒缓古晋至三马拉汉的交通阻塞问题。 他指出，古晋至三马拉汉的道路使用者深受塞车困扰。该道路的阻塞情况不仅发生在上下班繁忙时段，甚至从上午6时30分开始至晚上10时，都会出现阻塞问题。 符祥威今日发表文告说，他上个月代表砂地方政府及房屋部长拿督沈桂贤出席在砂大举行的活动时，接获许多关于交通阻塞的投诉，这进一步证明阿邦佐哈里提出当地交通阻塞问题的严重性。 他表示，阿邦佐哈里及砂政党联盟政府勇敢采取行动，重启轻快铁计划以帮助人民的决心值得赞赏。反观，联邦政府却取消砂拉越许多大型基建计划。
希盟执政一周年，大失所望
对於希盟执政一周年的表现，砂首长署政治秘书苏莉群指称，大失所望！ 撇开政治立场，就事论事，她认为，总体来说希盟在这一年来并未给人民看见国家较大的改变。尤其希盟在509时，许下太多美好的承诺，唯在509后的一年内，却未能依时逐步去兑现承诺，让许多期许新马来西亚真的可以过得更好的支持者难免失去了信心。 “这无关乎时间的长短，而是政府在执行力上的诚意与效率。有没有去做，和能不能做到是两回事。” 她说，509大选时，95%的华裔选择支持希盟就是期望他们能为华社争取更多，也是支持希盟开明 、公平对待各族的执政理念。但至今的结果却是，统考未获得承认，是要顾及马来人的感受，大学预科班增加了名额，美其名是说非土著学额增加，但依然保持90：10的比例，却是进一步加大了不公。而且，在大学学额没有增加的情况下，非土著进入大学的机会将大幅度下降。 苏莉群今日针对希盟执政一周年受访时指出，虽然希盟内阁部长都是新人，却也不能因此将国家政策当儿戏，一些部长在未计划周详的情况下，就仓促要实施某某政策，在被人民大力抨击后，又宣布撤销。在这方面，没有经验不能被一直当成藉口，不正正就因为没有经验，所以才更应该谨慎去处理国家大事吗？ 她表示，经济 方面不见好转是让许多人对政府失去信心的主要因素之一，在销售与服务税取代了消费税后，百货并未有下降，接踵而来的是迎来更多的税务，大众依然感受到通货膨胀的压力。 “经济对百姓人说是重要的一环，如果人人都有稳健的经济来源，衣食无忧，基本上就算在实政上有些偏差，人民也不会过於计较。” 苏莉群进一步说，政府一边说国债高筑，没有多馀资源去发展经济，但另一边厢又要搞一些非必要的大型计划如第三国产车、弯桥及第一方程式赛车等。 对砂拉越方面，她称，509前希盟称一旦执政，将归还砂拉越的自主权，无须再协商。但事实的诚意大家都知道，在国会中提呈一读时，仅是将原本的“13”，改成“11+2”，在受到砂人民激烈的反对声潮后，二读时虽说修改至恢复了砂拉越“邦”的名，却对邦的“实”及砂自主权只字不提。 当然，并非所以部门都做得不好，苏莉群说，通讯部及交通部在提升网速，降低上网费用及道路安全方面，表现还是值得嘉许的。不过，因为内阁各部门的进前步伐不一致，导致一些好的表现未能掩盖不足的地方。 苏莉群希望政府在今后的执政能专注在改善国家经济与教育，实行公平的教育政策，留住人才，让所有的学子不分种族背景，都能获得应有的教育资源。与此同时，应实施有效 率及针对性的经济政策，停止一些无聊的小动作。 “比如与其鼓励国人喝棕油、爱棕油，不如解决出口问题。首相到中国协商及解决棕油出口问题，将比您喝100年棕油更有实际效果。” 她说，一些戏码在做反对党时代，人民或许爱看及可以接受，但希盟现在已是执政政府，角色已不同，做完了戏，还是要回归现实，人民还是要吃饭，经济还是要照顾。唯有搞好经济，国家才能有更多的资源，人民生活才能过得更好。人民经济收入不成问题之时，国家要征税，相信人民是乐意缴之，而不是在人民生活负担日欲加重的同时，还通过各种税务对人民落井下石，来增加国家的收入。

叶耀星：房东与租户须立租赁以避免纠纷

砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤表示，与1976年的情况相比，如今的砂拉越人民已经对权益意识更有醒觉。 他说，砂拉越人民如今更了解1963年建国契约及跨政府级别委员会报告在56年前赋予砂拉越的特别权益及保障。这是马来西亚极为重要的历史，但遗憾的是，这些在学校教科书无法学习到。 过去50多年，砂拉越人不理解本身拥有的权益。对于当代领袖的作为，历史是最佳的审判。有些领袖极力根据属于国际条约的1963年建国契约捍卫及保障砂拉越权益，以致自己付出沉重的代价，甚至牺牲生命。 他强调，砂人联党的先贤当初认为砂拉越人民还未准备好参组马来西亚，甚至一度争取砂拉越独立。这是因为当时砂人联党领袖看到参组马来西亚的危机存在，比起更为先进的马来亚，砂拉越无法极力捍卫自己的利益。 历史证明砂人联党是正确的，砂人联党的先贤已经清楚表达了对参组马来西亚的担忧。过去数十年来，发生在砂拉越的更多是悲伤的事，财富及权力被剥削，砂拉越的年轻一代不得不离开家乡，远赴西马工作。 “我们不能改变过去及历史，但我们可以决定未来，阻止剥夺权益的事继续发生。我们必须勇敢前进，为砂拉越人争取更好的未来。” 沈桂贤表示，砂人联党及砂政党联盟的伙伴必须坚决捍卫立场，索回一切被剥夺的权益，尤其是恢复与西马平等的地位。索回的权益，一分都不能少。 他说，砂议会通过的修宪动议，显示砂拉越人已经真正醒觉。这也带出强烈的讯息，即砂拉越人民不再像过往，像1976年那样，任人摆布。 “我们在1963年没参与参组马来西亚，也没有参与1976年的修宪，但我们如今实实在在站在这里，纠正过去的错误。砂拉越人应该团结，为未来做对的决定。”
