SUPP Disaster Relief Fund

Sarawak United Peoples’ Party Secretary General, Dato’ Sebastian Ting said the party would be collecting cash, food and clothing to help out those affected most by the flood tragedy in West Malaysia.

He said besides this, they would also be giving a portion of the collected donation to Baram where villagers are said to be affected by flood in some kampongs.

Saying that it is painful to watch fellow Malaysians suffered in this natural disaster, it is worst for those who are going through it.  The least the more fortunate could do was to give them a helping hand.

The SUPP  Disaster Relief Fund is opened for a period of three (3) months, ending 31st March 2015. This however is subject to a further extension if and when absolutely necessary.

He said for those affected by the flood and their properties destroyed, it would take them a while to rebuild and get on with their normal life.

“That is why we tried to go down to the relief centre to assist those in need of moral support aside from giving them the necessary material support.

Ting added SUPP will join force with other respective state co-ordination centres so that the fund and other donation can be channeled appropriately.

Thanking the members, supporters and members of the public who had given their assistance in cash and kind, Ting said those who wished to send cheque can do so to “SUPP Disaster Relief Fund”.
