Flood aid for Baram
SUPP Kuching has send out the second container of food, clothing and other items to help the flood victims in Baram.
Central Woman Advisor, Amy Tnay has been going around to collect the items to be donated to the flood victims for the past one week.
Secretary general of the party, Dato’ Sebastian Ting, Datuk Lee Kim Shim, and Datuk Francis Harden were at the SUPP headquarters to help carry the items to the lorry.
Ting said there were volunteers who would help them ferry the items from Kuching to Miri.
“In Miri, we have our own team too to collect aids and donation from members of the public. I would like to thank everyone who have shown their concern for those caught in the flood. I understand a few longhouses in Baram were cut off and the only way to reach them was by helicopter,” he said.
Ting urged members of the public to continue to do their part to assist the flood victims. He said donations could be forwarded to any of the SUPP branches.
