GST seminar
GST seminars Jointly Organized by SUPP
Kenyalang Youth Club in conjunction with SUPP has organized five GST seminars for Sarawak for the month of November 2014. The seminars will be held in Kuching, Sibu and Sarikei. As for the month of December there will be seven GST Seminars, two will be in Miri, together with SMI. The sessions will be conducted in Chinese and English by Government officers to provide GST information to participants.
A schedule of the session held is as outlined below.
The sessions are provided free to the public. As seating capacity is limited, all interested parties must register in advance on the form available on www.supp.org.my or any of the SUPP branches.
We encourage members of the public to take the opportunity to attend the awareness sessions to understand about the GST, how it works and how it affects consumers and businesses.
Of the five awareness sessions, we urge anyone who is running a business or is in a business preparing for the GST to attend the sessions on 18th or 19th where the government officers are well equipped to address GST questions on application of the law to technical or transactions related matters. The other three sessions providing awareness are good information sessions to be attended by the public and community to gain knowledge on the GST.
SUPP is progressing with internal training on GST for members and branch representatives to be speakers to support the community with information on how the GST works and the implications to public and businesses. We hope that SUPP will support the community with information resources on GST through the period of implementation. We encourage members of the community to get in touch with SUPP branches
