In Memoriam: Datin Patinggi Puan Sri Dr. Jane Yong Say Kan
It is with profound sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Datin Patinggi Puan Sri Dr. Jane Yong Say Kan, a woman of remarkable grace and dedicated service. As the wife of the late Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Dr. Wong Soon Kai, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, she was a constant pillar of support throughout his storied political and medical career.
Dr. Jane Yong was a respected professional in her own right, embodying a life of compassion and quiet strength. Together with her husband, she contributed significantly to the social fabric of Sarawak, often engaging in community work and supporting various charitable causes. Her legacy is defined not only by her role within one of Sarawak’s most prominent families but also by her kindness and the dignity with which she lived her life.
