SUPP on the UEC recognition
SUPP stated in a press statement that in tandem with the recent announcement by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem on the recognition of the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) by the state government, SUPP would like to encourage Sarawak UEC graduates to apply for vacancies or posts in Sarawak government ministries, departments and agencies. “Upon the submissions of their applications, kindly also extend a copy to SUPP so that we will have particulars of such applications and for us to follow through.”
人联党力争两新选区出战权
砂人联党力争至少两个从传统出战的选区划分出来的新选区，包括巴都吉当。 沈桂贤主持人联党中央常务委员会会议后，在新闻发布会上说，会议上主要讨论州选备战的课题，不过他不便对外透露该党的选举策略。 他说，除了传统出战的19个州选区之外，人联党会争取至少两个新选区的出战权。 他表示，巴都吉当就是其中之一。 巴都吉当是属于华裔与土著选民人数参半的选区，国阵这混合区具有很高的胜选。 无论如何，至于其他新选区，他婉拒透露，并强调人联党会作出争取。 “凡是从人联党传统出战的选区划分出来的新选区，我们都希望获得出战权。” 至于所有选区的出战人选，沈桂贤说，绝大部分的选区候选人都已经敲定，而在下个星期，相信所有选区的潜能候选人都会积极跑动，贴近选民。 另一方面，在常务会议开始前，人联党总部进行两个选区的新党员入党表格移交仪式，分别是奥巴支部迎来360名新党员，以及英吉利里支部迎来300名新党员。
砂国阵成员党团结晚宴
砂国阵成员党于昨晚举办团结晚宴，在州选前展现团结精神。 出席的领袖包括砂土保党第二署理主席拿督阿玛阿邦佐哈里、砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员、砂人民党主席丹斯里詹玛欣及砂民进党主席拿督斯里张庆信太平局绅。 4名党领袖轮流上台致词，强调砂国阵团结与合作的重要性。 与此同时，人联党、人民党及民进党领袖也一致表达对于首长兼州国阵主席拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿德南沙登的支持。 他们还强调维护国阵团结的重要性，尤其是当一个成员党受到敌对危害时，全体国阵必须联合应对。
人联党协助跟进申请州公务员
随着砂首长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿迪南沙登宣布承认独中统考文凭，砂人联党呼吁独中毕业生踊跃申请州政府部门公务员职位，该党将协助跟进他们的申请。 砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员主持该党中央常务会议后指出，凡申请州政府部门公务员职位的人士，可将文件副本提呈给人联党，该党会协助跟进。 “我们希望，更多独中毕业生能够把握担任州政府公务员的机会。” 阿迪南沙登不断在公开场合强调，尽管联邦政府还未承认独中统考文凭，但州政府不会理会，而是站稳承认统考文凭的立场。

国家安理会须纳入东马成员
砂拉越人民联合党认为，日前提呈国会一读的《国家安全理事会法案》，建议成立一个由首相领导的国家安理会，却遗漏砂拉越和沙巴的代表成员，砂拉越人民绝对不能同意。 砂拉越人民联合党中央秘书长拿督陈超耀今日针对前日在国会通过一读的法案，认为这是非常严重的疏失，有必要即刻修改。因为国家安全理事会，没有任何来自砂拉越和沙巴的代表，似乎意味着中央政府未来作出重大课题的决策时，东马人民没办法反映意愿和意见，也没有发言权和决定权。 他表示，前天提呈国会一读的法案，主要应对我国面对全球安全课题的挑战，法案建议成立一个由首相领导的国家安全理事会，成员包括副首相、国防部长、内政部长、通讯及多媒体部长、政府首席秘书、武装部队总司令，以及全国警察总长。上述部长或要员全都来自西马。 “重大课题却没有让砂拉越和沙巴也有份参与和决定说不过去，中央政府必须即刻就此作出修改，加入东马代表，以示尊重东马人，也让东马人参与重大决策，避免东马主权旁落。” 他说，何况法案赋予理事会极大权力，除了基于安全理由向所有政府机构发出指示外，任何机构如果掌握重要的情报，也必须迅速向理事会汇报。而理事会可以国家安全课题为由，指示及协调所有政府机构的运作。 他促请中央政府不要忽视马来西亚1963年建国契约，砂拉越、沙巴及西马半岛都是享有同等权利、共组国家的建国伙伴。“我们要时刻谨记，砂拉越人民应该享有的平等权益，绝对不允许被侵蚀。” 砂拉越人民联合党向中央政府建议，砂拉越和沙巴首席部长，或至少是东马的高级部长人员，必须列入如此重要的国家安全理 事会机构，而不是被排除在外。 《国家安全理事会法案》是由首相署部长拿督斯里沙希淡昨日提呈，并寻求在本季国会通过。理事会的功能，主要是对国家安全问题，包括涉及国家主权、国防、社会稳定、经济稳定、策略资源、国家团结等课题，拟定政策。

The National Security Council Bill was tabled to the Parliament for the first reading yesterday. The proposed new law intends to seek to create a council which will have the power, amongst others, to declare certain area a “security area” and the council will have wide ranging powers in particular concerning security. 甘榜双溪亚榜巴鲁礼堂完工
于2013年时任副首相丹斯里慕尤丁拨出50万令吉兴建的甘榜双溪亚榜巴鲁礼堂工程，此前面对工程延误的问题，而砂人联党领袖，尤其是朋岭支部青年团秘书符祥威律师与承包商、工程局及古晋省公署交涉下，终于让该礼堂工程得以在11月30完工，并且移交给村民。 过去两年甘榜双溪亚榜巴鲁的基督教村民，在圣诞节时只能租借临近酒店作为庆祝场地，而今年他们总算可以在自家甘榜举办庆祝活动，村民分工合作欢庆佳节，肯定更有气氛。 砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于昨日见证承包商希尼瑟迪尼移交该礼堂给村民代表杰菲里的仪式，在场包括古晋省长伊布拉欣、砂人联党青年团总团长陈开、符祥威及地方上的社区领袖。 沈桂贤向媒体表示，该礼堂耗时两年兴建，让村民苦等多时，随着工程完工，他希望村民可以善用该设施。 另一方面，他指出，此前首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿迪南沙登已经批准人联党的19个选区获得总共2200万令吉的乡村转型计划拨款，作为提升地方上的基建设施用途。 与此同时，符祥威表示，他在10月份发现甘榜双溪亚榜巴鲁礼堂的工程延误，于是在10月29日与承包商及古晋省公署讨论，了解延误的原因。同时，他还在11月11日再度回到礼堂工地查看，并限定承包商必须在11月30日之前完工。 他强调，其做法是，当发现问题时，就着手解决，而非在报章上谩骂与指责。

各界纷纷援助许萱
许萱小妹妹要“有声”世界的新闻见报后，短短6天后便筹得11万6千892令吉，距离筹款目标不远，恢复听力在望! 砂人工耳蜗协会主席拿督陈超耀昨日指出，上述11万令吉的善款包括5万令吉由许家亲戚、朋友所捐献，余下则是来自社会大众。“许萱小妹妹的遭遇见报后，黄慧君(许萱母亲)、砂人联党美里支部及砂人工耳蜗协会便接到许多热心人士的来电，纷纷表示欲捐助许小妹妹。” 他说，大部分捐款者都是来自本市的市民，部分则来自外海，他们是通过网络媒体、面书的知道许小妹妹的遭遇，也通过汇款的方式将款项汇入砂人工耳蜗协会。 他指出，许小妹妹两耳植入人工耳蜗协会的费用高达14万令吉，目前还欠缺2万3千108令吉。他有信心近期内便可以筹取足够的善款。 他称，在砂人工耳蜗协会的安排下，许小妹妹预料将在下个月进行手术，相信她很快便可以恢复听觉，在“有声”世界下生活。 天生没有耳蜗许萱刚满2岁，她是在出生后不久被美里中央医院医生证实有先天听觉障碍，必须施手术植入人工耳蜗，才能与正常人般能听、能讲。 由于人造耳蜗经常高昂，需大约14万令吉，使到其母亲黄慧君在不得已之下，于本月18日向砂人联党美里支部主席兼砂人工耳蜗协会主席拿督陈超耀律师求助，透过他的力量向公众求救。 黄慧君透露，其丈夫(许萱父亲)目前正在澳洲半工半读，尽管省吃省用但每月只剩澳币千余元，而本身则担任德士无线电接听员，但每个月也仅有900令吉收入，只足以负担4个孩子的生活及教育费。 她说，她及丈夫的收入非常有限，实在无能力负担小女儿的庞大医药费，所以需要希望社会人士的帮忙。 陈超耀吁请有欲捐款的公众，可将款项汇入砂人工耳蜗协会(Sarawak Cochlear Implant Society)在大众银行(Public Bank)户口，或移步砂人联党美里支部与方秋琴联络，电话为085-423399。
