Dr Sim: Sarawak needs to get back its autonomy on education
Sarawak needs to get back its autonomy on education, said SUPP President, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian while officiating the new teacher’s block at SJK Chung Hua Mile 10.
He said Sarawak has contribute so much to the national GDP but received so little in return.
Even local police stations condition are deteriorating while in West Malaysia there are new police stations sprouting out.
Dr Sim added that the Chung Hua school also wanted to build a three-storey school block due to the increase in th number of pupils. He said he will get special funding from both the Prime Minister and Chief Minister to help them.
At the same ceremony, Dr Sim witnessed the hand-over of a RM20,000 donation from school board member Kiung Choi Hin to Board of Management chairman Penghulu Lim Eng Huat.
Kiung, who was unable to attend, was represented by his father, Kiung Fatt Jin.
