SUPP Stampin held its sub branch women 3rd anniversary dinner recently. Guest of honor, President of SUPP, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian thanked the 450 people who had paid for the dinner themselves and welcoming the 100 new members. He said the struggle of SUPP for the people has gone into 57 years and would continue to do so. 砂人联党实旦宾分部区委会妇女组庆祝成立3周年暨迎新送旧晚宴
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员于2日晚上出席由党实旦宾分部区委会妇女组主办的庆祝成立3周年暨迎新送旧晚宴。这项晚宴是于实都东巴鲁民众会堂举行。 该晚宴获得至少450人出席，场面热闹。当晚也迎来100名新党员加入人联党。 沈桂贤感谢新加入的党员，愿意参与人联党为砂拉越人民争取权益的斗争。 他说，人联党摒弃旧作风，以民为本，积极服务人民，真诚为人民做事，而且都必须以行动去证明。他呼吁人民给人联党多5年的时间，以成绩证明。
一小校友会回校晚宴
古晋中华小学第一校校友会于2日晚上举办回校晚宴，并邀请砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤上议员出席。 他在晚宴上致词时，恭贺古晋福建公会于70年前创立一小，不分籍贯、种族与宗教为学生提供小学教育。在古晋乃至整个砂拉越的教育发展上，扮演重要角色。 他说，这种为教育奉献的精神必须要持续下去，让人们有机会接受更好的教育，朝向更高收入水平，而不是一人身兼几份工来达到这个目的。 他强调，校友回校是非常重要的，不止是帮助母校的基建发展，还可以分享本身的经验，让后辈学习。 “对于学校的硬体设施，我们需要砂拉越政府获得教育自主权，决定拨款的需求和分配。”
