砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局主任叶耀星日前接获一名来自BDC的女士要求提供法律质询及协助办理离婚手续。因该民女士的收入较低所以无法负担律师费。 砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局在此告知有需求的民众可向法律援助局求助。法律援助局隶属首相署属下法律事务所的政府机构。该局提供免费或以津贴方式协助符合该局条件及在它们工作范围内的民众。免费的法律援助将会提供给予年收入不超过RM25000或月收入不超过RM2083的民众。法律津贴将会提供给予年收入超过RM25000但低于RM30，000或月收入不超过RM2，500的民众。 砂拉越人民联合党公共投诉局建议有法律问题的民众亦可向法律援助局寻求协助。该局有经验丰富的法律官员可以给予适当的指导以解决问题。 有需要的民众将会接受经济情况审核以确保政府资源不被滥用。通过审核后只需支付RM2注册费用及填写表格。提交表格后，法律援助局官员将会安排晤面以确认全部情况的细节及探讨解决方案。 法律援助局古晋办公室位于古晋新邦地加路Level 6, Bangunan Sultan Iskandar 及联络号码为082-258699. 人联党公共投诉局提醒如有面对相关问题之民众可前来寻求协助。经查证属实，人联党将伸出援手且尽力解决问题。任何相关事宜可联系公共投诉局016-7797688及082246999或亲临人联党总部。
Appointments of Mayor, Councillors
The Minister of Local government announced the list of Mayor/Chairman and Deputy Mayor/Chairman of the 24 councils all over Sarawak. The most major change is the Mayor of Miri, Yii Siew Sang who is the Pujut Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP), Chairman. 俞小珊担任美里市长

砂人联党美里与实务地国会联委会将在7月21日晚上，在美里市政局广场举办722砂拉越独立日倒数活动。 筹委会主席俞小珊指出，这项倒数活动旨在让人们欢庆722的到来。 他说，当晚的节目将会以本地乐队的演出为开始，并预计会有上万人出席。 “现场有多个售卖小食和饮品的摊位。晚上7时至9时30分有本地乐队表演，之后邀请本地各族歌手，演绎不同语言的歌曲，突显砂拉越多元民族的特色与文化。” 砂首席部长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿德南沙登已经宣布今年722为砂公共假期。 俞小珊说，庆祝会在11时45分开始燃放烟火，这是庆祝722砂拉越独立日活动最高潮的时刻，让所有参与者一起感受砂拉越曾经独立自治的历史事实。 他促请民众记住722砂拉越独立日，让全体砂拉越人清楚知道真实的砂拉越历史，让人民形成一股强大力量，督促和充作砂州政府向联邦政府索回原本属于砂拉越的自主权。
比尔案嫌犯并非是人联党党员
砂拉越人民联合党中央宣教处针对砂拉越报告网站的报导作出澄清，指涉及美里公正党区部秘书比尔加勇枪杀案的李姓嫌犯并非是人联党党员。 党透过文告指，相关网站于本月16日的报导是具有恶意的，以选择性列出案件事实及毫无根据的推论，试图将人联党牵涉在比尔加勇案件当中，打击人联党的公众形象。 需要强调的是，自案件发生，人联党不断强烈谴责这起案件的凶徒，并呼吁警方尽快将涉案者绳之以法。 而且，人联党在过去以来，也不曾涉及任何政治或非政治的暴力行为。 同时，人联党在文告中也强调，人联党有超过10万名党员，而党向来立场是遵从法纪，如任何党员涉及刑事案件，他同样会受到党严厉纪律对付。
石角区开斋节联欢会
砂人联党主席兼石角区州议员拿督沈桂贤强调，虽然第11届砂拉越选举已经结束，但他的“竞选”工作还是继续进行，积极为居民解决各种民生问题。 他说，无论是道路、沟渠或其他基本设施问题，人联党都会继续去关注，而不是冷眼旁观。 他也强调，有关石角区的发展拨款，绝对不会“外流”，因为这对石角居民不公平。 “凡是拨给石角的发展基金，我们都要用在石角区上，而不是惠及他人。” 沈桂贤是在砂人联党与石角国阵联办石角区开斋节联欢会上致词时，这么表示。 他强调，他会继续注重在选区服务上，让其他反对党选区的选民看到投选国阵的区别与重要性。 另一方面，他指活动之所以在石角中华公会礼堂举行，是为了让各族可以一起庆祝开斋节，拉近彼此距离。 他表示，与以往岁月相比，现代的人们都少了传统的佳节共庆与文化共享精神，每当到了属于自己的节日，就自己庆祝，没有与左邻右舍一起欢庆。 他指出，今日活动的筹委会主席阿米尔玛目虽然是巫裔，但说得一口流利的客家话与华语，这是因为后者在小时候，经常随着父母与华族朋友团聚，从中学习到华族方言。 “但现今时代，这种各族文化与语言融合的情况已经非常少。” 他说，为了恢复这种精神，往后每个佳节，石角都会举办各族参与的庆祝活动，让所有人都一起参与。
