SPCB helping out in land dispute

The SUPP Public Complaints Bureau was recently approached by a man surnamed Wong and other landowners in Moyan,  Batu Kawa area on a dispute over the usage of  private land as a road access. The matter has remained unresolved for more than three years already and various police reports have been lodged.

SUPP PCB have also been informed by Mr Wong that his neighbour have engaged a legal firm to write a legal letter to him and that he has also lodged a police report for record purposes. After Mr Wong discovered the fencing up the land adjacent to his land, he had lodged a further police report.

Due to the closure of the only access road to Mr Wong’s land by his neighbor, Mr Wong sought assistance from community leaders, other land owners and SUPP Public Complaints Bureau.

The other land owners have during a meeting informed SUPP Public Complaints Bureau that if the adjacent landowner to Mr Wong’s land continue to insist on closing the only access road to Mr Wong and 8 other landowners of land behind Mr Wong’s land, the other land owners where the road access to the land of Mr Wong’s neighbour will reciprocate by not allowing Mr Wong’s neighbour to use the access road to his land.

SUPP Public Complaints Bureau is now trying its best to resolve the road access dispute between the affected parties amicably and have written to the lawyer representing Mr Wong’s neighbour requesting for their assistance to arrive at an amicable solution and settlement on the matter. SUPP Public Complaints Bureau views disputes like the above seriously and will try its best to mediate between the parties to arrive at a win-win situation for all parties.
