砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤于日前为巴达旺市议会位于哥打圣淘沙的斋戒月市集主持开幕。 在场者包括砂人联党巴都吉当区州议员兼巴达旺市议会主席罗克强、巴达旺市议会署理主席拿督阿末、首长政治秘书程明智和再迪苏海里上议员。 沈桂贤表示，斋戒月市集是砂拉越种族和谐的缩影，因为这里不仅有穆斯林同胞售卖美食，还有来自各族的消费者，一起选购美食。
沈桂贤：国阵需派出正确候选人夺回埔奕
砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤强调，国阵在来临埔奕州议席补选所决定派出的候选人，将成为是否能夺回该选区的重要因素。 他称，这是因为相关候选人，必须可以让选民信服，进而赢取选民的支持。 他表示，对于人联党方面，该党在决定候选人上，是根据相关人选是否在基层勤力服务，能否得到选民支持。 “人联党已经向国阵提呈潜能候选人的名单，让国阵遴选。” 沈桂贤强调，在这场补选过后，埔奕应该属于国阵，以便未来可以继续取得发展。 他重申，埔奕州议席的出战权是属于国阵成员党，惟有来自国阵的候选人才可以在补选中，代表国阵出战。

由砂人联党朋岭支部妇女组、诏安路乡区发展与安全委员会及妇联康乐俱乐部在古晋旺城购物广场联办的粽香情浓粽子教学示范及品尝，特别邀请一名穆斯林女士朱丽娜前来示范清真粽子，彰显砂拉越种族的独有特色。 活动筹委会主席田惜春在致词时指出，该项活动也是为了提升砂拉越所拥有独特和谐的多元种族文化和华裔各乡属的民间饮食文化。 她说，华人祖先在家乡时因为地理条件，各乡属的粽子包法和馅料有所不同，因此此次该支部妇女组除了示范一般在砂拉越常见的粽子包法外，也有示范海南人及广东人的粽子。更值得一提的是，此次的示范也邀请到一名穆斯林女士朱丽娜示范清真粽子。” 她感到高兴的是，当她得知华人节日传统食品走进了友族群，这见证了砂拉越民族多元民族的和谐。 她形容，粽子是由华人祖先延承下来的一种传统饮食文化，文化的传承就是历史的轨迹，为了能让后代了解祖先的历史，发动对文化传承的活动是有意义的。 此次活动也准备了一些清真粽子给诺慕妮孤儿院，砂云南善堂和救世军，希望他们也可以感受佳节的气氛和温暖。
