Statement from SUPP president
SUPP fully supports the plan to increase the number of constituencies passed recently by DUN Sarawak. This is because some of the seats have too many voters while others in rural area are just too large geographically.
Both scenarios are not only unfair to the voters but also to the respective YBs to serve their constituencies well.
SUPP will definitely eye for new seats which are delineated from SUPP seats – be it in the urban or in rural areas. We look forward to the proposed delineation by the SPR earlier next year so that we too can give our constructive inputs wherever necessary.
