Wilfred Yap urges PSB and DAP to stop politicking

KUCHIGN: SUPP Kota Sentosa Chairman, Wilfred Yap hoped that  politicians PSB and DAP  instead of politicking through misinformation using the media would instead place the needs of the people first and to have their problems resolved and settled as topmost priority. He also hopes that DAP and PSB will also put “people over politics” by resolving their predicaments especially so during this period of CMCO due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Yap said there have been numerous unsubstantiated provocative and political statements on various unproductive/speculative issues from PSB and DAP due to the Sarawak State Elections likely to be held within a year’s time.

“Regardless of the politicking from PSB and DAP during this Covid-19 pandemic, SUPP Kota Sentosa Branch and SUPP Public Complaints Bureau continue to be focused and fully committed to serving the “rakyat” by being their eyes and ears and shall continue to speak out on basic human rights and other matters of good governance in accordance with the rule of law by using the proper channels.

He added as SUPP Public Complaints Bureau Chief he continued with his regular “turun padang” activity with local community leaders to 7th Mile area and was frequently approached by residents and business community for assistance to request the local  Council to carry out improvement and repair works to damaged infrastructure facilities like drains and roads. Following such requests for assistance received, the problems are always immediately communicated to the relevant authorities for their  immediate action to carry maintenance and repair works.
