More food aid for Batu Kawa residents
Kuching District Office and Kuching Disaster Management Committee gave out 500 packages more of essential goods to needy Batu Kawah residents under Sarawak government’s essential goods aid programme during Covid-19 MCO period recently.
It was found that certain party is abusing such aid programme by submiting repeated application from same household, spouses using different addresses for their application, as well as using under age child as applicant. Apllocants are allowed to receive once only for food aid.
Essential goods packages has been distributed to Batu Kawa area needy since MCO was implemented on March18. Sarawak government has issued out 8,650 units of essential goods which included rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, biscuit and cans food costing RM 400,000, a substantial amoint from Dr. Sim consitency funding.
