SUPP Central Women Section is partnering with CanHOPE Kuching to jointly organize a cancer awareness talk this Friday evening from 6PM to 9PM at Citadines Apart Hotel Kuching, Sape Hall, Level 11entitled “Knowledge and Hope, Let’s Fight Cancer Together”.
The Awareness Talk is sponsored byParkway Cancer Centre and Parkway Hospitals Singapore.
The feature speakers are:
Dr. Richard Quek Hong Hui, Senior Consultant Medical Oncologist at Parkway Cancer Centre.
In additional to general medical oncology, Dr Quek has special interest in the management of sarcomas, gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), melanomas and lymphomas.
Dr. Richard Quek Hong Hui with share the public about “The Modern Day Cancer Journey: Prevention, Diagnosis & Treatment”.
Dr. Winston Woon, General Surgeon at Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore. He is proficient in all aspects of general surgery and endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy), and his main interest lies in laparoscopic/robotic
Surgery including hernia, gall bladder, liver, pancreas and bile duct surgery.
Dr. Winston Woon with share the public about ”Keyhole Surgery is a way to go”.
The program will have a question, answer and sharing sessions and will ends with lucky draw.
The awareness talk is initiated by CanHOPE, a non-profit cancer counselling and support service provided by Parkway Cancer Centre Singapore. CanHOPE Kuching consists of an experienced, knowledgeable and caring support team with access to comprehensive information on a wide range of topics in education and guidelines in cancer treatment.
Public can go to SUPP HQ to pick up the free entrance ticket between 8am to 5PM. Entrance ticket will also be available at the entrance of the Sape Hall at Citadines Apart Hotel from 6PM onward on Friday (24th May 2019).
