Urban Greenery Project
Urban Greenery Project is an initiative organised by MBKS and SUPP Pending Branch to restore greenery in urban neighborhood.
To kick start the project, MBKS City Secretary Tay Guan Huat, Councillor Patrick Song, Cr. Kho Teck Wan together with Pending branch youth and women leaded by Branch Chairlady Sim Bee Kim, and Youth Chairman Cr Goh Tze Hui, Kapitan Daisy Chan went to Kenyalang Jalan Suaidi Arshad, Lorong 2 to plant fruit trees along the hill behind the row of terrace houses.
The project started as a result of soil erosion incident at the hill near Jalan Suaidi Arshad during Christmas time last year. The trees planting should help improve the soil condition and prevent future erosion.
The project is endorsed and arranged by MBKS Mayor Datuk James Chan.
Pending Branch strongly advocates the work of environmental protection and beautification in the community.
The clean environment is the precious gift from mother nature. In view of the importance of maintaining a clean and beautiful living condition, Pending branch will organised more Urban Greenery project in more selected neighborhoods in the future.
