符祥威：英语是砂官方语言之一
执业律师符祥威提醒首相拿督斯里安华，砂人民不反对他强化国语的地位，但如果在安华眼中的联邦宪法里没有砂拉越，便是不尊重砂拉越在联邦宪法中的地位。他强调，在砂拉越的法庭，法官和律师用的是英语，绝大多数律所与法庭的书信来往和法庭文件也是用英语。 针对安华提醒本地企业、大学，包括私立大学，在致给政府的公函必须以马来文书写，否则其他语文的函件一概被退，符祥威接受星洲日报访问时也提出质疑，难道安华不知道英语也是砂拉越的官方语言之一？还是在安华眼中的马来西亚只有马来亚没有砂拉越？ 他表示，砂总理阿邦佐哈里多次在公开场合表示，英语是砂拉越官方语言之一，重申砂公务员可以继续使用英语和马来西亚语作为官方语言。 “这个立场符合砂拉越宪法，两种语言都可用于官方事务，更是在联邦宪法第161（3）条文下保障英语在砂拉越的使用。同时，1963/67年国语法令也不适用在砂拉越。” 符祥威提到，在去年12月17日，阿邦佐哈里也表示安华经同意砂拉越政府的要求，修正马来西亚团结政府的协议，以确保砂拉越使用国语与英语作为官方用语。 “但如今，安华却说他曾经在内阁与教育部长法丽娜谈及并发现一些机构及大学经常乖离联邦宪法规定，必须使用马来文致函政府机构。难道在安华眼中的联邦宪法只看到马来亚而没有砂拉越？还是他早已忘记曾和砂盟政府签署的《组建团结政府合作协议》以保障英语作为砂拉越官方语言之一？” 据符祥威的了解，砂拉越不曾通过任何法令或修正案，以限制或取消英语在联邦宪法第161(3)条文、政府级委员会报告书及科博特委员会报告书中作为官方用语的地位。
许徳婉恳请教育和政治分开

GPS State Assemblyman for N12 Kota Sentosa, Wilfred Yap handed over his Minor Rural Project (MRP) allocation of RM40,000 under to the school board of SJK Chung Hua Stampin, Sungai Tapang comprising a sum of RM30,000 to assist the school in carrying out minor repairs, upgrading works and also for organizing school activities for the benefit of the students. 陈超耀拨款兴建珠芭幼稚园礼堂
珠芭幼稚园增建雨盖礼堂工程竣工，砂旅游、创意产业及表演艺术部副部长拿督陈超耀今早造访巡视、检查工程质量，以进行建设工程竣工验收。 也是卑尔骚区州议员的陈超耀今日与其机要秘书谢家洪偕同美里公共工程局官员及承包商到访珠芭幼稚园，并与该园园长陈葆花、董事财政黃梅祥、监学梁国鹏、总务陈荣华等一同视察工程进展，及对第二期工程提出的诉求展开了探讨。 陈超耀指出，上述雨盖礼堂工程耗资25万令吉，通过卑尔骚区的2022年乡区转型计划（RTP）拨款建造，工程是于今年5月8日动工，工期为6个月，预计11月7日完工。如今，工程已在10月中竣工，提前完成，日后可以主办各项体育运动和课外活动。 他称，新设立的雨盖礼堂将于珠芭幼稚园12月10日举行的60周年庆暨恳亲会举行开幕启用礼。 他称，现阶段为第一期工程，他们将会再申请拨款，以使展开第二期工程，完成后面剩余部分的场地。 此外，园长陈葆花表示，珠芭幼稚园创办于1963年，今年为60年，而搬迁现址有38年之久。目前有120名学生，而建竣的礼堂可以容纳800人。接下来，该园也计划第二期工程并要求拨款，延长加建有盖设施等工程。
