砂人联党成功突破2011年大选带来的困境与破坏后，人联党已脱胎换骨，以新团队，新作风，新姿态，参加2016年州大选，以期恢复政治实力，成为砂拉越国阵一个不可被忽视的成员党。 现在的人联党，跟以前的人联党已完全不同，是一个新生代领导的人联党，其中包括一批年轻的，专业的与有经验的领袖。他们敢讲，敢做，能做。 人联党所推荐的候选人，是年轻的专业人士，有经验的行政人员及全职政治工作者。 反对党也曾经向广大群众选民，发出『给我们一个机会』的呼声。2006年，选民开始回应反对党的呼吁。2011年，选民几乎全力支持反对党，人联党在19个议席中，只赢得6席，其中只二席是华族选区。 今次大选，人联党向广大群众与选民，发出『给我们一个机会』的呼吁，理由是： 1. 选民曾经给反对党机会，十年的机会（部分是五年）。但是，反对党在这十年（五年）中，却没有为选民带来什么益惠，也没有改善选民的生活素质。反对党没有实践承诺。 2. 由于反对党无法实践承诺，选民应该把机会换给另一个政党，就是人联党，看看人联党能不能做，会不会做，敢不敢做，能不能做得比反对党好。 3. 没有给机会人联党去做，那里能够知道人联党新的领袖不会做；那里知道人联党的候选人不会做。 4. 人联党这次推出的候选人，包括三位年轻的律师, 二名成功的商人，二名现任助理部长，还有工程师, 其他专业人士及全职政治工作者。他们在过去一年至四年中，已在选区活动，为选民服务，解决选民的许多民生问题，提升选区的道路等等。 5. 人联党的13名候选人，已经初步向选民证明，他们敢做，能做，会做。既然如此，顺理成章，在大选中，全力支持他们，让他们当选为州议员，让他们全职为选区服务，给他们机会表现。 6. 给人联党13名候选人一个机会，不会给选民带来什么损失（给反对党十年的机会，损失已够大了），或许可能会带来很大的益惠。所以，为什么不试试看，给人联党的候选人一个机会。试一试，赌一睹，博一搏，没有损失。 7. 如果当选的人联党人民代议士，做不好，可以在五年后，将他们换掉。 我们相信，人联党的13名候选人，一旦得到机会而当选，他们绝不会让选民失望。 人联党过去做得不够好，做得不够多，不够亲民。但是，现在的人联党已跟以前的人联党，完全不同了。现在的人联党领袖与候选人，是一批年轻的或者中年的，有魄力，敢做，敢讲，能做的，以民为本的领袖。他们是可以被信赖，被托以重任的一群领袖。 他们若能够获得选民给以一个机会，他们一定能够落实承诺，真诚为选民服务，造福人民。我们仅此真诚呼吁选民，请『给人联党国阵候选人一个机会』。507 投人联是唯一。

陈冠勋有信心夺回马拉端
获得首长兼砂国阵主席拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿德南沙登选择出战马拉端的人联党候选人陈冠勋表示，他很有信心在选举为国阵夺回该选区。 他强调，本身过去以来都非常努力，争取选民的支持。 他说，他在选区上，期望通过努力服务和展现真诚的心，博得选民的信任与支持。 “在过去8年以来，马拉端的选民会清楚我有多勤劳服务，为他们付出。” 陈冠勋也表示，有关东姑阿都拉曼大学学院的课题，并不会影响他的选情，因为人民会知道，他并不是承诺落实该计划的人。

Lo meeting with Kg Sandong Jaya residents
Candidate for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang, held a ‘meet-the-people’ session this morning with the kampung folks of Kg Sandong Jaya in the Surau Darul Taqwa there. 陈冠勋希望代表国阵出战马拉端
约5000名泗里街民众于周五（15日）晚上出席在泗里街篮球体育馆举行的集会，这项集会是由人联党泗里街支部主席陈冠勋号召。 在致词时，陈冠勋希望首长拿督巴丁宜丹斯里阿德南沙登可以选择他成为国阵马拉端选区的候选人。 他说，他从基层得到良好的反应，有望为国阵夺回马拉端议席。 “如果可以得到代表国阵的机会出战马拉端，我会全力以赴，为国阵赢回这个议席。同时，我也会竭尽所能，为人民服务。” 陈冠勋说，他之前担任泗里街国会议员时，就已经在服务人民。他相信马拉端选民对他十分熟悉，因此若是他出战马拉端，将会得到一定的支持。 他表示，尽管他在上届国选败北，但他从来没有停止为民服务。 他指出，他一直都拜访选民，深入乡区与长屋，与民众交流。
巡视杨国斯路提升工程
砂拉越人民联合党主席拿督沈桂贤医生、巴达旺市议会主席罗克强、公共工程局工程师、人联党石角支部主席陈如飞与数名人联党领袖巡视拿督杨国斯路提升工程。 该道路目前进行提升工程并预计两年内完成。提升部分为6公里，从单程双向车道提升为双程双向车道共耗资马币四千两百万。随着道路的提升，该处的交通情况有望获得改善。
