沈桂贤：砂有望兴建癌症医药中心
砂地方政府部部长拿督沈桂贤披露，砂拉越有望拥有一座设备完善的癌症医药中心。 他说，若按照计划，这座癌症医药中心是坐落在三马拉汉的心脏专科中心范围内。整个计划预计耗资4亿令吉，并拥有200个床位，可为患上癌症的儿童、成人甚至孕妇提供适当的治疗。 他表现，联邦政府已经原则上同意这项计划。 也是人联党主席的沈桂贤是于出席15日由砂拉越儿童癌症协会主办的剃光头援助癌症病童活动上，这么告知媒体。 他强调，砂拉越迫切需要一座癌症医药中心，因为癌症是继心脏病之后，人们的最大杀手之一。 “对于每个癌症病患，提早治疗是极为重要的，我希望每个人都可以进行身体检查，不管是成人，或者是小孩。” 他说，目前心脏专科中心的范围拥有足够的面积兴建多一座癌症医药中心。 对于砂拉越儿童癌症协会主办的活动，他赞扬该会成功为需要的癌症病童及家属，筹募一些经费，纾解他们的困境。
巡视桥梁工程
砂人联党卑尔骚候任议员拿督陈超耀于今日上午，在公共工程局官员、承包商、美里市议会市议员和居民一起巡视美里甘榜卡统（Kampung Katong）的桥梁工程。 基于当地的木桥损毁，因此陈超耀正在安排当局展开兴建洋灰桥梁的工程。 承包商将会拆除现有的木桥，而随后公共工程局会展开建桥工程。
Sarawak cancer centre
Sarawak will soon have a comprehensive cancer centre next to the Heart Centre in Samarahan to provide comprehensive care for children and adults including pregnant woman, said Minister for Local Government Prof Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian . Fund raising at Kuching Chung Hua Middle School No. 3

Bridge repair at Kg Katong
State Assemblyman for Piasau, Dato’ Sebastian Ting went down to Kampung Katong to meet up with the JKR officers, contractors, Miri council councillors and local residents to follow up the progress of the repair of the bridge. Ting said the old wooden bridge would be half closure of the bridge on May 28 to 29th to give way for the repair of the bridge.
