沈桂贤：7000万令吉舒缓闪电水灾问题
古晋近期频频发生豪雨导致的闪电水灾问题，砂地方政府部长兼砂人联党主席拿督沈桂贤披露，州政府将于下个月召开的州立法议会上，寻求多达7000万令吉的额外拨款，以舒缓这项问题。 他针对开年来频频发生的古晋市区闪电水灾问题表示，有必要采取有效的步骤，来应对该项问题。 他指出，由州务秘书丹斯里慕希迪领导的一项委员会，已经鉴定数个闪电水灾黑区。 沈桂贤表示，而在来临的州立法议会上，州政府将会在附加供应法案上，寻求增加额外7000万令吉的拨款，以便当局可以获得经费采取必要的步骤，应对闪电水灾问题。
了解美里中央医院停车场问题
砂人联党卑尔骚区州议员兼中央秘书长拿督陈超耀于日前刚巧经过美里中央医院，发现到有好多车辆依然停在路旁。 他发现，新建的停车位也停泊了许多车，显然是停车位不足。 他随即与在场的医护人员讨论关于未来增加停车位的建议。
移交地方政府部长职权仪式
原任砂地方政府与社区发展部高级部长拿督斯里黄顺舸于18日上午，移交地方政府部长职权予新上任的部长拿督沈桂贤。 沈桂贤亦是砂人联党主席。 黄顺舸在仪式上表示，他深信沈桂贤可以胜任地方政府部长的职位。 他说，沈桂贤在医药领域有丰富经验，这可协助他推动地方议会的服务传递，尤其是涉及医药领域的事务，如诊疗所、一马诊所和医院工程等等。 全砂共有23个地方议会，另有3个地方议会分别是古晋南市、北市和民都鲁发展局是属于首长署管理。 他告知沈桂贤，地方政府部共拥有3201名职员，是属于庞大的部门。
沈桂贤：分享宗教知识可增进各族谅解

沈桂贤：砂有望兴建癌症医药中心
砂地方政府部部长拿督沈桂贤披露，砂拉越有望拥有一座设备完善的癌症医药中心。 他说，若按照计划，这座癌症医药中心是坐落在三马拉汉的心脏专科中心范围内。整个计划预计耗资4亿令吉，并拥有200个床位，可为患上癌症的儿童、成人甚至孕妇提供适当的治疗。 他表现，联邦政府已经原则上同意这项计划。 也是人联党主席的沈桂贤是于出席15日由砂拉越儿童癌症协会主办的剃光头援助癌症病童活动上，这么告知媒体。 他强调，砂拉越迫切需要一座癌症医药中心，因为癌症是继心脏病之后，人们的最大杀手之一。 “对于每个癌症病患，提早治疗是极为重要的，我希望每个人都可以进行身体检查，不管是成人，或者是小孩。” 他说，目前心脏专科中心的范围拥有足够的面积兴建多一座癌症医药中心。 对于砂拉越儿童癌症协会主办的活动，他赞扬该会成功为需要的癌症病童及家属，筹募一些经费，纾解他们的困境。
巡视桥梁工程
砂人联党卑尔骚候任议员拿督陈超耀于今日上午，在公共工程局官员、承包商、美里市议会市议员和居民一起巡视美里甘榜卡统（Kampung Katong）的桥梁工程。 基于当地的木桥损毁，因此陈超耀正在安排当局展开兴建洋灰桥梁的工程。 承包商将会拆除现有的木桥，而随后公共工程局会展开建桥工程。

Newly appointed Minister of Local Government YB Datuk Dr.Sim Kui Hian, SUPP Batu Kawa Branch Chairman Dato Sri Tan Joo Phoi, Public Work Department (JKR) Engineers and a number of SUPP Batu Kawa local leaders were seen inspecting the road resurfacing and widening project at Jalan Ha Sha Liung/Sejijak. The road is currently under resurfacing and widening work for 4.1 km long. The road improvement is in progress and funded under Rural Transformation Project (RTP). There are many road improvement projects under RTP phase 1 for Batu Kawa.
