砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤于25日前往砂消拯局总部进行工作访问，他也是6年来，首名到该总部进行工作访问的部长。 他承诺将尽快解决砂拉越17间自愿消拯局缺乏水泵配备的问题，并向政府争取100万令吉作为添购该配备的经费。 他表示，为了提升本州消拯局的救援配备和需求，将尽本身最大努力，向联邦政府与州政府作出反映，以为本州消拯局争取权益和福利。 另外，沈桂贤也宣布拨款1万令吉予该局，以充作继续推动3K俱乐部（安全、火灾及儿童）的活动经费，以提高社区尤其是学生们对灾难防范、管理与拯救的意识。 “在提升砂消拯局的服务方面，我认为不能单靠该局而已，必须获得各方面包括中央与州政府、各界人士、企业单位及公众等的合作。” 他赞赏砂消拯局推出许多计划，包括社区消防员、志愿消防员、青年消防员等计划，以接近社区人民，加强该局的人民的互动与联系。

Raya with residents of Kpg Bunga Rampai
In sharing the spirit of AidilFitri, State Assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang with his wife, Margaret Lim and son, Ethan, celebrated Hari Raya with the residents of Kpg Bunga Rampai, Bau on Sunday afternoon. The celebration was held in the Community hall in the Kampung.
Kampong Bumbok food fair
State assemblyman for Batu Kitang, Lo Khere Chiang congratulated the residents of Kampung Bumbok for having a great success food fair. Lo said it was good of the Kampung Bumbok community to come out to earn extra for themselves by organising such pesta, a food fair which was set up with 33 stalls of local food, home grown vegetables and jungle produce. He said the Padawan Municipal council of which he is the Chairman, has provided the infrastructure for the people. 巡视甘榜蓬波社区市集
砂人联党巴都吉当区州议员罗克强于今日巡视甘榜蓬波（Kampung Bumbok）的社区市集。 这市集刚营业不久，位于杨国斯路和巴都吉当路灯交界处。 罗克强喜见当地营业的小贩可以赚取额外收入，改善家庭经济。当地共有33个摊位，售卖各类蔬菜和水果。 也是巴达旺市议会主席的罗克强表示，市议会向来都致力为民众提供良好的设施，包括对于小贩方面也是如此。
巡视林梦医院
砂地方政府部部长拿督沈桂贤于日前巡视林梦医院。 陪同者包括人联青总团长陈开及柏拉旺支部秘书程明智。 尽管卫生事务是属于联邦政府管辖，但沈桂贤还是积极代表砂政府关注本地的医药设施，确保每个地区的人民都可以享有良好的医药服务。
Dr Sim concern for medical staff in Sarawak
Local Minister Senator Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian said although hospital is under Ministry of Health Malaysia in Putrajaya, he has spent his most productive years of his skills for the medical services and medical profession for Sarawakians. He assured that he will always help not just for better health facilities for Sarawakians but also help to fight for the welfare of the hospital staff who served in Sarawak.

Dato Sebastian: importance of sports
State Assemblyman for Piasau, Dato’ Sebastian Ting o fficiated the opening of SMK Lutong- 50th Sports Day. In his speech, he said sportsmanship provides guidelines that can be generalized into the classroom and towards a lifelong achievement. He said participating in challenging sporting events teaches children to love classroom challenge. It also teaches children to function in a competitive society. Education , he added, is a life time accomplishment but creative contributions in the arts, sciences, business, and government involve similar perseverance and self-discipline.
Helping those who are unfortunate
State Assemblyman for Piasau, Dato Sebastian Ting visited the family from Damai Jaya after he heard that their house had burned down recently . The husband is an OKU and the family have four children. The fire was believed to have started due to a faulty generator. Following the visit, Ting aside from showing his concern, called on the Welfare department to assist the family.
Dr Sim Raya visit to Minister of Defense
Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian who is Local Government minister, and his wife, Enn Ong paid a visit to the Minister of Defence, Dato’ Seri Hishamudin Hussein on Wednesday for his Hari Raya celebration at the Dewan Seroja, Ministry of Defense.
