Dato Sebastian: importance of sports
State Assemblyman for Piasau, Dato’ Sebastian Ting o fficiated the opening of SMK Lutong- 50th Sports Day.
In his speech, he said sportsmanship provides guidelines that can be generalized into the classroom and towards a lifelong achievement. He said participating in challenging sporting events teaches children to love classroom challenge. It also teaches children to function in a competitive society.
Education , he added, is a life time accomplishment but creative contributions in the arts, sciences, business, and government involve similar perseverance and self-discipline.
