符祥威：砂拉越应享有低于西马的油价
砂人联党青年总团宣教秘书符祥威认为，砂拉越应该享有低过西马至少20巴仙的油价。 他在一篇文告中针对国内燃油价格本月再调涨的问题指出，在砂拉越所勘察和开采的石油和天然气，理应就是归于砂人民。 更何况，砂拉越每年给予国家的油气资源贡献占47巴仙，鉴于此，他说，东西马的油价制定制度也应该有别，相对西马和全球的油价，砂拉越的油价须是低于至少20巴仙。 他表示，西马和砂拉越应采用两种油价机制，才算是对砂拉越在油气领域作出巨大贡献的公平对待。 他说，在1974年石油发展法令下，联邦政府已是违宪取走了砂拉越陆地和海上领土的石油勘测和开采权，对砂州人民不公平。 他呼吁砂政府采取积极行动促成设立本身的石油公司，以全面管理自身的石油资源，进而长远上保障砂民的利益。 与此同时，符祥威称，每个砂拉越人有权知道联邦政府和国家石油公司在过去多年来，是如何计算出发给本州的5巴仙石油开采税。 对此课题，他吁请全体砂民不分政治背景的共同站在一起，捍卫砂拉越在1963年立国契约和联邦宪法下赋予的自主权。

首长向陈超耀贺年
首席部长拿督阿玛阿邦佐哈里于大年初七（2月3日）向砂人联党中央秘书长兼卑尔骚区州议员拿督陈超耀律师贺年。 他是在夫人拿汀阿玛祖玛安妮的陪同下，向陈超耀与家人贺年。 在场包括砂人联党主席兼地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤。
罗克强：巴达旺市议会策划泊车收费制度
巴达旺市议会主席罗克强披露，目前议会辖区内的泊车收费系统正在策划当中，预计在未来，3哩市集等繁忙地区将会实施泊车收费制度。 他说，目前尚无法断定巴达旺市议会辖区的泊车收费制度是否会在今年内落实，但相关的行政工作已经在进行当中。 他表示，未来的巴达旺市议会泊车收费制度将与其他议会配合，比如古晋南北市的泊车股本，也可在巴达旺地区使用，这主要是对民众提供最大的便利。 也是砂人联党巴都吉当区州议员的罗克强是于日前受访时，这么表示。 他强调，市议会落实泊车收费的主要原因，并不是为了“赚钱”，而是为了舒缓繁忙地区的交通情况，比如3哩市集。他称，当地的民众强烈建议市议会这么做。 无论如何，他表示一些繁忙地区的停车位并非全天候都爆满，因此，市议会也会考虑这点，仅在部分时段实施泊车收费。 目前，巴达旺地区共有超过2000个停车格。
沈桂贤：华裔政治人物应以实际行动取得华社大团结
砂地方政府部长拿督沈桂贤呼吁砂拉越朝野华裔政治人物以实际行动取得华社大团结，并集中力量在大格局发展，让全砂华社的发展更上一层楼。 他强调，他是真心诚意的发出邀请，并不是玩弄政治手段。 “让我们一起为华社的利益团结，以确保砂拉越华社的发展不被忽视。” 也是人联党主席的沈桂贤，是于出席“与副首相共庆2017农历新年”活动上致词时，向州内政党包括行动党、公正党及联民党的华裔政治人物喊话，希望朝野华裔政治人物能够团结一致为砂华社争取更好的权益。 他指出，砂拉越子民在过去三年有幸在已故前首长阿迪南推行的53项政绩下受惠，阿迪南所留下来的政绩和发展政策将获得新首长阿邦佐哈里持续执行和落实。 沈桂贤说道，首长阿邦佐哈里在宣誓就职后向人民保证将持续执行阿迪南留下的53项政绩，同时也会推行更多有利于砂拉越发展的政策，例如持续拨出更多款项予华校，确保阿迪南传奇得以持续。 他指出，副首相阿末扎希在过去两年内平均造访砂拉越24次，对于砂拉越人的诉求不仅听见，希望副首相也能倾听砂拉越人的心声和需求。 他说，目前砂拉越在教育、医疗和道路基建方面仍比西马落后，砂州政府与联邦政府从多方面展开合作，其中包括交通部长拿督斯里廖中莱在12月份批准地方议会交通管理员可协助交警指挥交通，缓解交通拥挤的情况。 同时，州政府也将协助联邦政府监督砂拉越各项医疗设施提升工作，包括斯里阿曼医院和柏特拉再也医院，以及政府诊疗所的建设与提升工程。 沈桂贤透露，砂华裔族群也面对公民权的问题，实际上有部分华人的公民权事宜并不在特别小组的管辖范围。因此，他希望副首相阿末扎希给予关注，确保让该些确实是在砂拉越生长和成家立室的华裔也能受到保障。 也是石角州议员的沈桂贤希望副首相阿末扎希加强及扩建石角警察局的警力和设施。他指出，该警局目前只有24名警员，管辖范围过大从石角地区衍生至马当一带，寥寥警力不足以应付地方上的罪案。 陪同出席是项农历新年活动的联邦和州政府部长包括首相署部长拿督斯里南茜苏克里、副首长丹斯里占玛欣、砂第二资源策划与环境部长拿督阿玛阿旺登雅及内政部副部长拿督诺嘉兹兰等。

Padawan Municipal council, Lo Khere Chiang went with his councillors to visit a victim whose house was razed on Chinese new year day. Lo is also Batu Kitang State Assemblyman. Irena anak Muhak, whose house was burned on the first day of the Chinese new year, has four children. Her children are aged between 8 to 13. Lo who is also MPP Chairman, passed her a cheque and also some food stuff to help her. The victim worked as a gardener.

Flooding in Kpg Merikan
Dato Sebastian went down to Kpg Merikan for a site inspection on the flooding problem in the area. After yesterday’s heavy rain, kpg Merikan was flooded with water due to a lack of water way to discharge the water. The DID and Land & Survey was contacted for more information and action on the issue. Most of the squatters have moved out, though there are still some who are still there. In the afternoon, the relevant authorities have helped to dig a temporary drain to discharge the water.

Water cut due to burst pipe
Residents of Block C Kpg Haji Baki had to go without water for over the last 5 days after an underground water pipe burst. 12 families at the site were affected over the Chinese New Year holidays. Kuching Water Board have been rectifying the issue since yesterday – up to now, the 10 families have already got their water supply back. They are still in the midst of fixing and two families are still out of water supply.
