YB Lo was recently invited to a pre Gawai celebration at Kampung Betung. He wished all those celebrating the occasion a Happy Gawai and congratulated the Dayak community for staying united amongst their ethnic group of Iban, Bidayuh, Orang Ulu, Murut, Lun Bawang, Kenyah, Kelabit, Kayan dan Penan.
Chung Hua Middle School Charity Run
Sarawak Local Government and Housing Minister, Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian officiated the Charity Run of the Chung Hua Middle School on Sunday morning at 6 am. The Run was flagged off at the Chung Hua Middle School No 1 where about 2000 participants took part. It was held in conjunction with the school’s 60th anniversary. 超过2500名民众参与古晋中华第一中学举办的慈善义跑活动，以庆祝该校迈入创校60周年。 这项活动是从上午7时开始举行，分为3公里及6公里，完成路程者可获得一枚奖牌。 一中校长叶宗元在致词时表示，这项义跑对学校特别有意义，而为了庆祝创校60周年，接下来还会举办一系列活动。他指出，除了庆祝周年之外，义跑对学生、教师及民众的健康也是有益。 砂地方政府及房屋部部长拿督沈桂贤受邀主持挥旗礼，出席者包括古晋中中校董会主席拿督黄良杰及夫人拿汀黄多娜。
罗克强出席甘榜柏东达雅节庆典
砂人联党峇都吉当区州议员罗克强与甘榜柏东（Kampung Betung） 村民提前庆祝达雅节。 他感谢甘榜柏东乡区发展与安全委员会邀请他出席该达雅节庆祝活动，并向所有人献上佳节祝贺。他指出，达雅节是婆罗洲达雅族群的重大节日，每年在农作物收割季节后，感恩天神，并准备下一季的耕种活动。 他表示，在多元种族的马来西亚，达雅节的存在显得特别有意义，该节日获得每个族群欢庆，这在世界上其他国家是难以想像的。 “尤其在甘榜庆祝的达雅节，也促进村民之间情谊，拉近彼此距离。” 罗克强呼吁每个人建立良好的关系，毕竟密切合作关系可确保所有计划和发展可以顺利进行。
程明智：砂国会议员应确保权力归还给砂拉越
砂人联党青年团总团长程明智质疑，希望联盟承诺对砂拉越的下放权力承诺，竟然可以被砂希盟主席张健仁一人否定。 他强调，从联邦政府索回1963年大马建国契约赋予的权力，是每个砂拉越人的期望，尤其是在2016年砂选举期间，砂拉越人民通过给予丕显斯里阿德南沙登强大委托，确保砂政府继续争取权力下放，足以证明这一点。 刚结束的第14届全国大选，希盟通过竞选宣言向砂拉越献议，一旦执政，不仅会检视建国契约，还会增加石油及天然气开采税至20%，并且让砂政府享有本土征收50%的税收。这些承诺明确列在希盟的竞选宣言之中。 但是，张健仁最近却在新闻发布会当中，宣布上述献议，包括权力下放已经不复存在。理由是砂政府没有在投票前，签署所谓的新政协议。 程明智提醒张健仁，作为国会议员，他有责任确保希盟政府实践对砂拉越的一切承诺。 他质疑，若张健仁无法这么做，是否辜负砂拉越人民的期望。即使砂政府不认同希盟政府的权力下放协议，但张健仁及其他国会议员，还是有责任继续找出最适合的方案，让原属砂拉越的权益可以归还给砂拉越人。 他呼吁所有来自砂拉越的国会议员实践他们对砂拉越人民的承诺，而不是借故推搪。
