SUPP – CM meeting
The Central Working Committee of SUPP today held a three-hour closed-door meeting with Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem at his office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here.
President of SUPP, Senator Datuk Dr. Sim Kui Hian said he could not talk due to the gag order from CM but that the meeting is good.
He said the party’s stand is very clear. Dr. Sim had said he would not compromise on the 19 plus seats this coming election.
UPP has wanted the seats from SUPP’s constituency but Dr. Sim and his Secretary general, Dato’ Sebastian Ting had repeatedly voice out that BN component parties would not compromise as they will keep to the principles of BN.
UPP is a breakaway from SUPP led by Dato’ Sri Wong Soon Koh who back out from the Presidential contest (TDC) against Tan Sri Peter Chin in December 2011.
Wong then joined Teras in May last year and a couple of months later, formed his own party, UPP as Teras was headed by Tan Sri William Mawan.
