SUPP Youth Press Statement on 14/1/2015
It is regrettable that the PBB Supreme Council member Datuk Abdul Karim has termed and equated PBB’s friendship with UPP, a non BN party, as much as the same towards its BN allied party SUPP, rather than “comradeship” which is far more than a mere friendship.
In response to Abdul Karim’s statement published in BP and See Hua Daily News today that PBB respects friendly party like UPP as much as it respects SUPP, Milton Foo the Youth Central Publicity Secretary discerns and draws the attention of the following facts to PBB leaders:
1. SUPP is a BN party while UPP is a NOT a BN party.
2. As a matter of principle and in the spirit of BN comradeship, PBB should show its solidarity with SUPP at all times (just as SUPP rendered its solidarity to PBB during the Ming’s Court incident in 1987), rather than making statement which may cause ill feeling or hard feeling to the members of SUPP.
3. The presence of Datuk Amar Abang Johari as Deputy President of PBB at UPP’s TDC and the mischievous use of BN logo by UPP in its TDC may cause or mislead the public at large to think that UPP is already a BN component party which is not the case in actual fact; a matter which warrants a serious discussion in the BN Supreme Council meeting as propounded by the President of SUPP Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian. It is therefore misconceived if not inappropriate to say that Dr Sim has over reacted on this matter as reported in See Hua Daily News today.
