SUPP assistance at Tudan Desaras

SUPP Secretary General, Dato’ Sebastian Ting, Publicity Chief, Adam Yii, Daniel Along and family visited the Ketua Kaum Lenggu and his people at Tudan Desaras recently, where 62 families from kampung Merikan have been given lots to relocate from their present site at Kampung Merikan. Most of them has started to clear the area and are getting ready to move to this site.

Some lots are low lying and water logged and Ting had contacted the DID Miri, requesting for assistance to open up and dig an appropriate drainage system so that the water will flow out. Only then, these affected group can proceed to construct their new homes.

The sizes of those lots range between 461 Sq meters and 480 square meters (11. 38 points and 11.86 points ).

The landowners gave them one month, till end of this month, to vacate their land at Kampung Merikan. A sum of RM5000 per family will be given to assist these families by the landowners.

Ting said a lot of things has to be done, including obtaining the Temporary Occupation Licence (TOL ) from the Land and Survey Dept, constructing their houses, applying for water from LAKU and electricity from SESCO.

SUPP Miri will help to coordinate the above process to ensure a smooth relocation.
