SUPP women against gambling
SUPP Central Women strongly supported the Kuching police initiative to disconnect power supplies in their action against internet gambling cafes.
SUPP Central Women has been receiving public complains from families affected by internet gambling.
These involves husbands, wives and even children who either run up debts or gambling throughout the night. All these have led to broken families. And in some cases even suicides.
Rampant internet gambling has also contributed to serious social problems like snatching, theft and violent robberies due to crippling debts.
SUPP Central Women urges members of the public to maintain positive attitude in facing financial difficulties. And gambling is not the right way to make money but will in fact lead to financial ruins.
On the same note, SUPP Central Women urges all retirees to engage in healthy activists like sports and public activities.
