人联妇女组关注家庭问题
人联党中央妇女组针对古晋警方断电对付网赌的举措表示赞扬。 过去，人联党中央妇女组从不间断接收到民众投诉网赌带来的家庭问题, 其中包括孩子或家人留恋网赌中心彻夜未归或负债累累, 妻离子散的个案。 近年来日益猖獗的网赌活动造就了许多社会问题, 如攫夺案和暴窃案甚至因为无法还清赌债而自杀的社会悲剧等等! 其严重性深深打击了砂州的治安及家庭和谐, 而深受其害的以身为人母或人妻的妇女最为首当其冲! 许多原本幸福美满的家庭因此破碎不堪, 这是我党妇女组最为关切的问题! 人联党中央妇女组仅此向民众呼吁, 以正面的态度面对经济和生活的压力, 赌博并非是改善生活的良策, 反之赌债往往毁掉了一个完美的家庭。 此外，更加鼓励退休的乐龄人士以健康的管道疏解和消磨空闲的时光，如运动和参与公益活动，不仅提升和充实了自己的退休生活，也因此帮助了更多有需要的家庭。

SUPP Central Women strongly supported the Kuching police initiative to disconnect power supplies in their action against internet gambling cafes.
