MPP and Pansar Strengthen Green Partnership Through Tree Planting at Batu Kawa Riverbank Park

The Padawan Municipal Council and Pansar Company Sdn Bhd continued their green partnership with a tree planting programme held last Sunday at Batu Kawa Riverbank Park.

A total of 345 trees and flowering plants were donated by Pansar for this year’s initiative, which aims to enhance greenery, biodiversity and the scenic value of the Batu Kawa riverfront. This is the second year of collaboration between MPP and Pansar following the success of last year’s programme.

The event saw the participation of a forty member delegation from Pansar together with MPP councillors, officers and volunteers, reflecting strong support from both the public and private sectors toward environmental stewardship and community well being.

MPP Chairman Cr Tan Kai expressed appreciation for Pansar’s continued support and highlighted the importance of partnerships in advancing the Council’s sustainability agenda. He said MPP welcomes all corporate bodies, associations and community groups to work with the Council in introducing more green.

Cr Tan Kai also reminded visitors to Batu Kawa Riverbank Park to use the designated parking spaces at the shoplots above the riverbank and to avoid double parking to ensure smooth traffic flow and convenience for all park users.

He added that collaborations such as this not only improve the urban landscape but also build a shared sense of responsibility among residents. MPP looks forward to more organisations coming forward to support sustainability and community well being.
