Plan and strategize – Dato Sebastian call to his branch members

SUPP Chairman for Piasau, Dato Sebastian Ting called on to his branch members to plan and strategize the branch and the party as a whole the next three years now that the party is getting stable with problematic persons out of the party.

Speaking at the branch election recently, Ting said during the last three years due to internal conflicts, the branch has not been active in recruiting members but this time round, he said everyone must make an effort to invite more friends and our children to be members of our Party.

“There should be a lot of thinking and planning as to how to impart our Party’s history to new members and political training and fellowship amongst our members in which our incoming Organizing Secretary and his sub committee will work from there,“he said.

Ting said the branch should work towards strengthening the ties between its own members and members of the public of which the new Publicity and Information secretary will be tasked to look into it. This team, he added, should go through the newspapers daily and respond to important issues in a more speedy way.

The branch should also not forget the core of the party, the members. Ting said it is important for members to know what SUPP and leaders can do for them and what are the areas that SUPP and leaders can assist them.

“In return, I would ask members to help SUPP and leaders and let us work together as a team so that we can truly treasure and value each other, as comrades, be united and being sincere to be with each other and helping each other,” he added.

Firmly believing that with the unity between members, that oneness will give the people a sense of confidence and trust the public will have if the branch go out to serve them and assist them in time of need. He said the time now is to show the people that SUPP do not pay lip service but do their job the best they could.

“We continue to be fully committed to serve the people of Sarawak and SUPP will work closely with other BN component Parties and will always fight for the best interests for Sarawak and the people of Sarawak..That is why our Party is called ” Sarawak United Peoples’ Party. We shall never delete the word ” Sarawak” We also continue our unwavering support to our Prime Minister and our Sarawak Chief Minister’ leadership,” he added.

Earlier on Ting asked for a minute of silence as a mark of respect for those who perished on board MH17 and urged all to pray for them and those on MH370 too.

He also gave a brief account of what has transpired the last three years and the internal conflicts that plagued the party.

Ting pointed out that the party had come a long way and hoped that the new Youth chairman, Aries leong and chairwoman, Pong Hon Kin will worked well together with the branch.
