Dato Sri Tiong on party unity
SPDP President, Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing attended a luncheon with his members at Batu Kawa this afternoon during which about 700 people turned up. The event also saw a total of 385 new members joining the party.
Tiong in his speech called on the members to work closely with Barisan Nasional component parties and to ensure that outsiders like Teras and the UPP do not disturb the smooth running of the BN.
He said there were unfounded rumors that SPDP members were alleged to have resigned in mass but from what he witnessed at the luncheon, he believed that the truly loyal members had come out in full force to support SPDP.
Urging new members to stay loyal to the party and to work towards making it stronger for the sake of the future generation, Tiong said he would not tolerate anyone going against not only the party but also the BN.
Tiong was in Kuching as part of his tour to visit party members and supporters. His next stop will be Bau.
