Tan Kai looking for suitable site to provide individual rubbish bins
The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP), led by Chairman Cr. Tan Kai conducted a site inspection at Jalan Fo Bao, Kim Choo Seng, Batu Kawa, together with representatives from Trieneken, MPP officers, and local residents to evaluate the possibility of providing individual rubbish bins to households in the area to enhance waste management services.
In a press statement issued, Tan Kai said several key factors were taken into account during the inspection, including the width of the road and the height of SESCO cables, which could potentially affect the movement and operation of rubbish trucks.
He emphasized MPP’s commitment to improving waste management for the benefit of residents. “MPP’s policy is to provide individual rubbish bins wherever feasible to encourage proper waste disposal and mitigate the issue of illegal dumping. We are dedicated to ensuring that residents benefit from efficient and sustainable waste management services.”
This year, he said MPP has carried out similar projects in providing individual rubbish bins, including recent initiatives at shophouses in Kota Padawan and Matang. More areas are set to benefit from these efforts in the near future.
MPP, he pointed out also provides Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) containers during its spring cleaning programs to assist residents in responsibly disposing of large or bulky waste items, especially in preparation for the upcoming festive season. These efforts aim to maintain a clean and healthy environment while promoting responsible waste disposal practices. (Insert Schedule here)
He encouraged residents to make full use of this opportunity to dispose of extra waste or unwanted bulky waste responsibly and contribute to a cleaner environment.
