Amy Tnay – they believe in her
SUPP Central Woman Chief, Amy Tnay Li Ping took a bashing last weekend in her woman’s section Kuching branch. Although her own party woman branch was not with her due to reasons best known to themselves, Amy proved to be a favourite with other woman branches.
Right after she was voted out, Tupong women came out in full force to stand behind her. The next day, Serian branch woman section also vowed to throw their support behind her to continue with her central woman chief post.
Today, Bengoh woman came out and spoke of Tnay’s dedication and excellent record she had shown in the past three years. Even though considered as a newbie then, Tnay, they said, had worked selflessly and campaigned hard for the candidates of SUPP.
Bengoh branch woman said her courage in standing against the opposition for the Barisan Nasional and fighting the truth won her a lot of respect. Bengoh woman said they wanted her to be the central woman chief again and strongly believed that she would do more this round.
Her ability to lead, said the women from Bengoh, had brought SUPP Central Women Section to establish a close and strong network of working relationship with women sections of other BN component parties. This can been seen from its members strong presence in various BN Wanita meetings, be it at the state or at central level.
They hoped that Tnay would be picked to fill the post of the central again and to shore up the woman’s power of SUPP.
