MCC Enforcement Personnel Issue 5 Compound Notices For Breaching SOP on Business hours
Enforcement Personnel from Miri City Council had issued 5 Compound Notices to offenders of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) imposed for Phase 3 of Sarawak National Recovery Plan (NRP) during their late-hours operation carried out last night around Miri City Centre against those business premises which are still operating beyond the permitted business hours.
27 Council’s enforcement personnel accompanied by Police personnel carried out their enforcement operation at Miri City centre from 10.00pm to 12.00 midnight of which one cafe and one lounge owners in the central business district had been compounded for trading beyond permitted trading hours.
Another 3 Compound Notices were issued to individuals at Taman Jelita who were found taking their food and drinks in food premises after the permitted business operating hours. The operation was carried out smoothly without any untoward incident. Miri City Council’s Enforcement Unit will continue its monitoring exercise and spot-check so as to ensure compliance of SOPs imposed imposed under the current Phase 3 of NRP.
