SUPP Pujut branch send food baskets to poor families
Mayor for Miri Municipal council, Adam Yii said the movement control order (MCO) has affected many low-income families.
Yii who is also the Chairman of SUPP Pujut branch said his bracnh has donated baby diapers and milk powder to reduce the burden on mothers.
Many people have faced difficulties in their daily lives with some losing their jobs. He said they normally give food baskets to the needy and while distributing them, he got feedbacks that many mothers were unable to buy milk powder and diapers. Due to some kind people, they donated to the needs of the mothers.
He added that the branch will try to help as much as they can and urged the public to go for their vaccine to create herd immunity so that things will get back to normal faster.
