SUPP Woman Central chief blasts Chong Chieng Jen

Chong’s statement is confusing the people on State Sales Tax which has nothing to do with PDA74. It is based on the ability of Sarawak to impose sales tax on petroleum products, Article 95B(3) of FC, said Kho Teck Wan, SUPP Woman Central chief.

She said Sarawak Government is still negotiating with Federal Govt to resolve the PDA 74 and Territorial Sea Act 750 so that they are compatible with the OMO 58. OMO 58 is still a good and valid law even after the formation of Malaysia.

“If Sarawak Govt accepts SST RM 2.95 billion as akin to surrendering Sarawak rights over oil and gas then how about Shafie Apdal threatening to sue Petronas for the unpaid SST? Is Chong’s allies also surrendering the Sabah rights? Why he does not say the same to Shafie?

Sarawak peoples waited for 22 months for PH and DAP to do the right thing of fulfilling what they promised 20% oil and gas royalty and 50% return of taxes to Sarawak. They failed the people, ” she added.

Kho added that when GPS government delivered what we promised, DAP being an ill-sportmanship trying to cover up what they can’t achieved by down playing Sarawak’s achievement.
